“new pics! 4 weeks post op! feeling back to normal. getting revision done in 2 months.”
Spent: $10,000 in ku med
I am 5'6" & 155lbs. (give or take a few) I had twins last year and they are the the best thing in my life (& my husband:) ) but it really took a tole on my body. I gained 60 lbs during pregnancy. The twins were huge for twins, 6.3 & 6.11. Let's just say I got tons of strechmarks and loose skin from the pregnancy and then losing 20lbs at delivery and 30lbs more 3 weeks later. Before pregnancy, I was athletic type and weighing 145 give or take some before pregnancy. I hope this will help me to get back to before. I have spent tons of time, asking myself if this is what I really want. It is! I am so excited, my surgery is dec 27th and I'm so anxious, nervous, excited, scared, & worried all in one. My husband has been very supportive about my decision & he's ready to be daddy/mommy/nurse for my recovery time. I just pray I heal fast & results are amazing. I've read tons of reviews and gotten so much helpful feedback that I decided to create my own to help a future MM :) If anyone could answer some questions I have, that'd be great!
1. What to bring on surgery day?
2. What to have next to bed for recovering?
3. Can the TT be compared to a c-section? The pain & recovery time?
4. Will I be able to go back to a desk job @ 2 weeks?
5. What pain meds worked the best?
Thank you all!!!!!!!

Does anyone have any advice about this? I'm beginning to question if it is going to be worth it.. I am 5'6" and I weigh about 150-160. my stretch marks ane on my belly button and below so I am hoping this will take most of them away.. I have 2 weeks before my procedure and I feel excited one day and nervous and selfish the next. I just hope my results look like you alls! I am going to post some pics soon.. I guess I have been holding off because I hate my body now and I dont want to see it in a picture.. Also, when I do post them, it will make it more real to me..

Updated on 3 Jan 2012:
This has def had its ups and downs! I am 1 week post op and got my drain out today. I have been sooo out of it. I love my results but hoping my bb heels fast and normal. it looks a little weird as of right now. I am going to take some more pics tonight and I cant wait to see the final results. I ran out of meds for about 6 hours yesterday and that was the hardest time of this journey. Now that I am back on the pain killers I am so much better. I go back to work Monday and am dreading it:( I hope I start to heal faster so I can walk a little straighter by then. Happy New Year to you all. Hope you all are doing great! I will try to post some pics tonight.

Going back to work on Monday!!! Still can't believe all of this happened. I love my new body, just ready to see the healed results. Went to see my PS yesterday and told him I don't like my bb and he said in 3 months he will be able to fix it. I feel like it's too flat. I want it to go in a little bit more and he said he can do it in his office once it heals? Hope he is right :) I also went Bra shopping yesterday and I am a 36D!!!! Just what I wanted. Now I don't have to wear all that extra padding :) I love VS bras and just in time to buy some with their BIG SALE :)!! Anyways, my family is taking shifts this weekend watching the twins while my husband is at work so I can rest before I go back to work. So nervous on going back to work but I have been leaning back on the pain meds and only taking them at night... taking over the counter during the day. I really don’t think I look different in clothes since I am so swollen still... I don't think anyone is going to notice since I have been wearing padding bras.. I just hope I feel 100% while at work since I have too much to do.. BUT I have a desk job so it won’t be hard on my body, just my mind. I AM SO READY FOR ALL THIS TO BE OVER AND FOR SUMMER :) I cannot wait to go swimming... (Haven’t been in 3 years!) I'm so ready to take my little munchkins swimming in public :) Anyway, hope you all are doing fabulous and please send me a message if you have any questions!!! Thank you all for the support. Here are the PICS.. Very swollen but so much better than my body after having twins!!

I will be waking up in 24 hours, getting ready for work... ahhhhh! Very swollen by the end of the day and salt is my enemy BUT I fit into my jeans for 4 hours yesterday over the compression thing! Whoohoo that means I will hopefully get to fit into my pre pregnancy jeans once this is all over with! Whoop whoop ! That is the goal. Hope you all are doing great! You deserve it!! & just had to share this, God is so good to me! He is amazing and his blessings are overflowing. Please pray if you are having any trouble. It helps so much!!

Is the only reason to wear the compression garmet/ spanx thingy for swelling??? Or will it effect the final results? Going to ask my ps tomorrow for more detail but really needing some other advice from experiences. I just can't fit into my work clothes with it and look so fat.. I'm icing at night and sleeping in the garmet... just don't want to wear it at work. What do you guys think? I'm 2 weeks post op and work 8-5 mon - thurs . I just hate how I look in it with clothes over it. My husband might go get me the victorias secret one on Friday. Its $35 but anyone else wear that one?? Is it slimming? Any info or advice would help and thank you all for all the support. You all look amazing! God is good!

I've been taking pics but can't upload from my phone, so I will when I can! I know how much it helps. You all look fab!!

24 days post op and feeling great! My right side is a lil bigger than my left and my bb looks flat but its starting to look better as the days go on.my ps is willing to do a revision about 3months post op in office with numming and free of charge, I just don't know if I want to be cut on again. He said he will bring my right hip cut down instead of doing lipo so it matches my left. He also said no workout will help because it is on the incesion. Time will tell as it heals on what the outcme will be. I've been taking pics but can't upload from my phone so oncei can, I will upload them all. I know how much it helps to see pics. I think this is totally worth it! I love my results besides the right hip. I can live with the bb but we will see. I feel so much better about myself in and out of clothes. I cannot wait till summer:) I went back to work at 13days and it was very hard. I would recommend at least 3 weeks to go back. I'm starting to feel back to normal. The swelling is going down and I'm not wearing the garmet as much. It feels so great to have my clothes fit right again. My ps said I can work out but not with weights more than 5 lbs. Just toning, and that's all I want anyways! Just so thankful to have done this. It is hard but so worth it!!!!!

4 weeks post op! Posted some new pics! Feeling great and is released to start working out :) Going to start Monday at the gym and cant wait! ! ! I am getting a revision done on my side in about 2 months. It is going to be pulled down to be even with the other side. Not very happy that I am going to be cut on again but I would rather do it now and get it over with then be un even. My belly button is looking better by the day but still haven't decided if I am going to get that done at the same time or live with it. My side is the only thing that bothers me. It shows in a swimsuit and it is like a permanent love handle. So happy I did this! It is so worth it! I CAN NOT WAIT FOR SUMMER! ! The gym I am joining has an indoor waterpark and I can't wait to take my kids swimming!! Hope you ladies are doing great!! You all look fantastic. :)

Hi there! Thank you so much for posting your story here on RealSelf! Here is a great list one of our members posted about supplies you'll need during your recovery.
Two weeks even for a desk job is pushing it, but depending on how you heal, might be okay. Three weeks would be safer. You'll still be sore and swollen by then, so if you have to go back to work at the 2 week mark, make sure you rest and rest and rest until then.
Are you having breast work as well, or a tummy tuck only?
Also, please send me a personal message if you're having trouble posting your photos and I'll walk you through it. Photos really do help.
Keep us updated on how you're feeling as the big day nears!
P.S. The guilt is totally normal. Think about how much you do for everyone else and do this one thing for yourself.
1. just bring a zip up hoodie (loose) and wear baggy sweats and shoes that are stable ( sneakers)
2. next to bed you will need a pen and notebook to keep track of meds or believe me youll forget or double dose..also all meds ...water ...some crackers ...tv remote..phone..books ...and you will need help getting up and to the bathroom for at least first and second day.
3. i didnt have a c section but from what others have said its NOTHING like it...its really freakin painful! but you will make it...as long as you take pain pills and take it easy youll be ok but its NO JOKE...this is the most painful plastic surgery procedure ..i cried like a baby and i am not a wimp! dont want to scare you but someone needs to tell you the truth!!
4. i dont think youll be able to go back to desk job at 2 weeks..i would say maybe 4. you will still be pretty hunched over at 2 weeks.
5. For me the oxicodone ( percocets) worked best for me...i didnt have any muscle relaxers either but if your dr will give you some TAKE THEM..my ps said wasnt necessary....all depends on what doesnt make you sick..also remember to get milk of magnesium bc the pain pills will constipate you and thats no fun when you cant even walk by yourself . you dont want to strain! oh i also took colace like 3 times a day....and drink tons of water.....also really really take it easy first couple days..i overdid it and my bb healed off center ...so dont do any stairs and just get up to go to bathroom...at least first couple days. if you have any other questions ask! good luck!
Your way! Your going to do great ! What a great way to start the new year!
