Stopped taking pain meds completely, didn't want to get hooked. First day with undies :) Went to the grocery store, the best thing they could of thought of was the electric carts. You wouldn't believe how people were staring at me, Like what was I doing in it. I will never ever judge another person riding in those things they are truly a life saver.
Drains out YIPEE!!!
Well I've been uncomfortable so I've stayed off, just meditating and reading. I'll post picture of a couple days ago, my belly looked like it was going to explode and I felt like it. I couldn't have a bm, I was stopped up for 5 days the worst feeling ever, I had been taking softners since the da after surgery. They didn't work. Thank god my mom got me some magnesium citrate I drunk half a bottle waited 5 hours nothing happened, and then drunk the other half (yuck....stick it a finger in my throat yuck) it was lemon flavor and water as chaser and a ducolax, about 330a Saturday morning I finally had a bm. It was the best feeling in the world. Lmfao... My stomach was huge and then it started deflating.
Today went to ps and he removed both drains, took a pain pill before thanks to another rs sista! It wasn't so bad I lived :) I haven't wore underwear in a week. I don't know how you ladies do with the drains in. I must say I bought a Dale abdominal binder off of Amazon about $25 and it had these velcro strips that were great for holding the drains. I'm excited that tomorrow no more sponge baths and I can shower. The ps said I'm healing just fine and my puckering will fade away. I can already see some improvements. Only take pain meds at night, not much pain at all. Almost standing straight up. Until next time sistas!
