Well, today is post op day 2 after a full tummy tuck and lipo to my flanks. I always had a "pooch" to my lower belly but after 3 deliveries, I had this extra skin that would just fold over when I sat down or wore jeans. I had become extremely frustrated because my belly "didn't match" the rest of my body. I had done as much as I could do with diet and exercise, but that "pooch" wouldn't go away. That's when I realized that surgery was going to be my only option to flatten my abdomen.

So far I have been uncomfortable, but the pain is manageable. The pain pump and medicines are helpful. Today I am moving around with much less pain and almost standing straight up. I know over the next few days that will continue to improve.

I didn't take any before pictures myself, so I will try to get the ones my doctor took. I have my first post op appointment tomorrow to remove the dressings....so I will update you all to let you know how that goes.

Hey! Sorry it has taken me so long to reply to you...I went back to work this week and have been so tired when I get home that I haven't checked my email. I have been doing so great! I went to the doctor on April 13 and he removed the drains. I have been tired at the end of the day but my recovery so far has been great! I am so pleased with the results so far! I am still having some swelling but the doctor reassures me that it will go down with time!

I am having a full tummy tuck in Mississippi with Dr. Runnels on Friday. I am so super nervous! How is your recovery going??

My recovery is going so well. It has been so worth it so far! The first few days were pretty uncomfortable but every day gets better and better! Good luck with your surgery...I hope everything goes as well for you as it is for me! Just make sure you do what you doctor tells you because it makes all the difference! Also you may want to join tummytucktalk.ning which is an awesome networking website for tummy tuck patients! I have met some really great people and we all blog about our experiences!

My recovery is going so well...I am so glad I did it. I went to the doctor this week and he took out the drains. Once the drains came out I immediately felt better. I have been feeling better day by day! I am going back to the doctor in 3 weeks and they are going to take some after pics!
