I was really excited about getting a tummy tuck a few years ago. I was going through a divorce and had also previously lost over 60 lbs. A tummy tuck would be like a new start. I had some droopy skin on my tummy from the weight loss and c-sections, and no amount of exercise and ab work (even with a personal trainer) was helping. I was a size 6 and yet still had this saggy tummy.
I went to a few paid consultations with plastic surgeons in the area, and decided on Dr. Weinberg due to his experience and he seemed so nice. He drew diagrams of what he was going to do, and it seemed great. He also said he did not need to use drains and this was something I had seen online and was happy with the idea of not needing them.
Unfortunately, things did not go well. I had the surgery and I am not sure what anesthesia Dr. Weinberg used, but I wasn't feeling very well when I was discharged from his private clinic. I was given percocet and sent home. Later that night I was going unconscious and had to be rushed to the hospital to be put on an IV. I went to my post-op visits, and even though I was having issues with my incision healing, I felt like I was rushed in and out of the clinic.
Before the surgery, I felt like a VIP at the clinic, with everyone being very friendly and spending a lot of time with me, but now they barely had me sit down and look at my incision and when I asked questions they were very brisk with me. I had a part of the incision that was really raw and hurting. I also had a bump a part of the tummy that was lumpy and I kept asking Dr. Weinberg when we could fix it, and felt really ignored.
After about six months of this he was getting even less helpful and acted like I was a nuisance. He seemed very good at making promises and then not keeping them. Like on one occasion I mentioned that I had some other medical issue, and he really nicely offered a referral to a specialist, which I thought was really nice and made me feel more comfortable trusting him. Yet he never actually followed through, even after I asked him twice about it.
Later on, when I asked for a refund so I could get a revision of the lumpy part of the tummy, he immediately said yes, but after several months of talking with his office he again never followed through. I am now at the point where I have to take on an additional expense to fix what he did. I spent a lot of time and money, and had a lot of trouble recovering from the tummy tuck, and now I am so unhappy and not looking forward to another surgery, time off work, and the expense again, after spending almost $10,000 with Dr. Weinberg.

Did you have a revision done? If so, where did you go and was it successful? I had a tummy tuck 7 months ago and it has been a horrible 7 months. I may need a revision and am afraid and confused about where to go and who to see. I am in the Niagara area

I am sorry you have had such a rough experience. I hope that you are able to have this fixed and find some peach with all of this.
We are all here for you so hang on:)
