I had a "mini-lift" 5 weeks ago. One side of my face droops & does not smile correctly & the other side looks too round....this was a terrible mistake. I had a great smile before & my face was symmetrical. I wish I had NEVER done it! I am so depressed....I do not look any younger than I did before & I was prettier before.

What really makes me upset at myself is that I was very apprehensive beforehand & I came so close to cancelling the whole thing. The surgeon says well you never know with surgery this is after the fact beforehand they just tell you how great you will look & 10 years younger. I don't look any younger..just different and not good.

My Doctor: name not provided

My rating:

First the doctor is not a board certified plastic surgeon....and now I realize the importance of that. But even then, with surgery there is never a guarantee even with the best. Plasstic surgery is not necessary & there less invasive things that you can do to enhance you appearance. i would recommend trying those...they will be as dramatic....but they also will not destroy your face.

I'm sorry to hear what you've been through, brnsvle. Are you planning to get a revision?

I don't know....I am afraid that won't turn out right. I don't know how long I have to wait to have that done. But I am going to consult with another PS.

Is your result any better by now? I'm sorry you had to go through this. Are you allowed to at least say what the doctor's name starts with or what town the office is in? I'm signed up to do this and am getting worried from reading this.

It was in Edina....at a provider who does a lot of other procedures, not just cosmetic. I would recommend that you only go to a board certified plastic surgeon.
There are some really good surgeons who do not cost an arm & a leg. The nerves have recovered but I spent a lot of money on acupuncture to regenerate them (I looked like I had Bell's Palsy for about 3 months)& I am not happy with the overall results at all. It was a horrible experience.
I had a mini lift 10 yrs ago by a board certified PS, it was a much better experience & the results were fantastic. This one is a huge disappointment.
And do not go with anyone who says that you have to make a $500 non-refundable down payment.
