my teeth were pretty yellow. this was the first whitening i've had and it made my teeth really much much brighter and whiter. it's worth the pain. but we'll see how long it lasts with my food habits.
don't know if this is unusual, but my upper gum scabbed up horribly. not too painful, but def a little scary.
