I had the MiraDry procedure done one time through...

I had the MiraDry procedure done one time through my work for free in order for the technician to gain more experience. I was a great candidate since I had struggle with hyperhidrosis. During the procedure I experienced minimal pain and discomfort. I was however really jacked up on whatever was injected into my armpits with the lidocaine and it caused me to get a little nauseous. I felt like I was given speed. My technician told me that was normal and gave me a lifesaver to suck on. Once the procedure was done I iced both of my armpits immediately for the rest of the evening and following days. The procedure was done around 1PM and by 6PM I was in so much pain. My arm pits were swollen and full of saline solution I couldn't comfortably rest my arms at my sides and my under arms felt like they were on fire. The next day all the saline solution sank from my arm pits to the sides of my rib cage were it then sat for 48 to 72 hours as disgusting side boobs. The pain was so bad the second day all I could do was lay in bed crying with my arms over my head while icing them. I couldn't put my arms down at my side for a good 24hours after. This was something I was not informed would happen and I was totally freaked out! My arm pits were lumpy, swollen and bruised for about a week. The bruising went away and then I was just left with lumpy swollen arm pits that would still sweat and smell for about a month. Five months later the arm pit swelling has stopped but I still have some lumpiness. My armpit hair grows in patches and I experience minimal sweating and body odor from under my armpits . If I really wanted I could go a few days without wearing deodorant before my left arm pit ( which was my problematic armpit) starts to smell. My technician said she had MiraDry done and reassured me that I had nothing to worry about. She was very clear on communicating to me what she was doing, when she was doing anything and why. However, I am now experiencing really uncomfortable and sometimes painful numbness and tingling in my left thumb, wrist and underarm area near the tricep. It's the worst feeling especially in my hand. It's like my hand fell asleep and it is starting to effect my ability to do basic tasks and movements. I would not recommend this procedure. I really hope that this goes away. In my opinion it was not worth it even with it being free. Proceed with caution.
