“Waiting It out - Shelby Twp, MI”
Spent: $1,800 in Shelby Twp. MI
Posted 18 May 2011
I had Zeltiq done yesterday on three areas. My upper abdomen and each side of my lower abdomen. The experience itself was not bad at all. Like most have said, the initial suction of the machine was the worst part but it was tolerable and for me, the discomfort only lasted about 5 minutes. When the suction device was removed it felt very strange and my skin looked really gross until they massaged it out.
My abdomen was extremely cold to the touch and red but it went away within a half hour. About 2 hours post procedure I started having a moderate amount of soreness and it was difficult to move. I was fine if I was sitting still though. I ended up taking a Vicodin that I had left over from a dental procedure and that worked tremendously. I also decided to wear a body garment as a compression device to help with the swelling even though they don't require it.
Overall I would say it was a good experience and thought the procedure was worth it but of course I will need to wait it out for any results. I am also exercising and watching my caloric intake as I want the best possible results. The staff was extremely friendly and answered all my questions which put me at ease since this was my first experience with any "cosmetic procedure".

Staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. I had my procedure done the same day as my consultation.

Welcome to RealSelf, LRN. How long did you wear the compression garment?
