Starting to prepare!

Hello ladies,
I know I still have a 1.5 year to go before my surgery. But I am starting to prepare in many different ways. I already talked to my employer and let them know that I will be having surgery in March 2017 and that I plan on being out 4-5 weeks. Even though I've heard of ladies going back to work 3 weeks after surgery I really want to make sure I have enough time to heal. My boss was very cool about it( I guess since she's had work done as well). I wanted to let her know in advance to avoid asking last minute. We will discuss coverage at work once I am closer to surgery. My two co-workers know and totally support me.

On to another subject, since I am currently weighing 180 lbs. I was advise my Tatiana (clearance coordinator) to get my weight down to at least 168 lbs. So that’s about 15 lbs. that I need to loose in order to lower my BMI. I know this might sound silly, I have a year and a half to lose those 15 lbs., but for some reason it makes me so nervous! In the past when I’ve tried to diet and It just never works. It’s almost as if I get obsessed and all I can think about is food! :( Anyways, since I have a desk job I don’t get enough exercise. I plan on starting to walk in the afternoons and then perhaps start doing a workout program called T25. I know that there will be great benefits after I get active and loose those lbs. I also need to start watching my portions, I just love big portions! Love my carbs and sweets! Good thing I have time to get working on this, still makes me nervous though. In my head I am just thinking, what if I don’t lose the weight and I have to cancel my surgery?? I am also afraid that with the weight loss I will lose my butt. I only have a butt and hips when I am chubby ? So I don’t want to lose my current curves but I have to lose the weight in order to be cleared for surgery…

I guess I am just a nervous wreck lol Oh one more thing, I let my Clearance Coordinator know that I currently take Lexapro 20 mg (anti-depressant) and Desogen (birth control) , asked if I would have to discontinue taking those meds before surgery, she said no, to keep taking them and that they shouldn’t affect surgery.

So anyways for now I just need to worry about saving money, paying off my surgery, and loosing those pesky 15 lbs. I will keep you guys posted on my progress

Hello ladies, I've been lurking RS for the longest...

Hello ladies,
I've been lurking RS for the longest time ever since like 2012 reading doctor reviews, trying figures out what doctor to choose and what procedures would allow me to obtain an hourglass figure. I have researched several doctors in Tijuana, have sent my pictures and have received quotes. I was very tempted to go with a Dr. in Mexico. The prices are very tempting! Literally half the price of what it would cost to get surgery in the USA. I also looked into other Drs. in the USA, for example Dr. Wilberto Campos and Dr. Kenneth Hughes, sent my pictures and even got quotes. One good day I stumbled upon Dr. Salzhaures Instagram page and I was fascinated by his work! Later I started following him on Snapchat as well. I have to say, i am extremely impressed with his work, personality and his prices are actually quite reasonable. So after putting a lot of thought into it I finally booked my surgery! He is a very popular doctor and so far is booked all next year (2016) and his next available surgery date is not until March 2017. I know it’s still a 1 year and half away, which is fine with me. I mean it would be nice to get it done next year, but he's so good that I think its worth the wait. Besides that gives me more time to save money since it’s going to cost $15k plus I have to factor in travel expenses. This morning I spoke with Cindy , gave my $1,000 deposit and booked my surgery for March 27, 2017!! I am so stoked! I was hoping to finance part of my surgery but unfortunately they no longer accept Care Credit, well I guess today is the last day they do. So any hoots, they were actually able to run my Care Credit card today for $7,000. So far $8,000 of my surgery is paid for, which is huge relief! Now I just need to focus on saving more money and paying of my Credit Card. This is something that I really want so I know I can do it! In the past I used to spend so much money on clothing, trying to make myself feel better about myself, but it was only temporary. Now I am stuck with so much clothes , wasted all that money when I could of just saved for my surgery. Before I forget, I do want to mention that Dr. Salzhauer is so booked that even for phone consultation you have to wait until Summer of next year. Since I have already decided on him based on other reviews, work, and interaction with his office, I went ahead and scheduled surgery now. I felt that if I waited until after my phone consultation I would be looking into getting surgery until 2018!

Ok ladies, now let me tell you about me. I am currently 27 years old (will be 28 in Nov), my height is 5'1 and I weigh about 180 lbs. I carry my weight evenly throughout my body, but my stomach is my problem area. I have stretch marks, they don’t bother as much, but I do have some hanging skin :( At the beginning of my journey I was looking to get a BBL and lipo, but after doing more research I discovered that I would greatly benefit from a tummy tuck. From what I read online, even if I got lipo on my tummy I would still be left with loose skin since the extra skin would still be there. Ideally I would really like to get a small waist, slimmer arms, and nice juicy butt :) I want to look naturally curvy. For this surgery I do have to loose between 10-15 lbs in order to lower by BMI, I still have a year and half left to do it so I am sure it will get done. A bit more about me, I have one daughter that I had when I was 19 years old, she is currently almost 9 years old. I have decided not to have more kids, I love my daughter to death but both my hubby and I have decided we don't want more children.

My hubby knows I’ve been wanting this surgery for the longest time and he is actually very supporting! So far the only people that know about my surgery are my hubby, sister, and two co-workers whom I very close to. I am not planning on telling other people, I know that eventually it will be obvious that I got some work done, I just don’t want negativity. In the past I’ve talked to my mother about possibly getting a tummy tuck and she is completely against the idea. She thinks I am being selfish for doing this. I know she’s afraid that something can terribly go wrong, but that’s the reason why I am choosing a doctor with an excellent reputation and who cares for his patients. I will be getting medical clearance as well and will be starting a workout routine to lose some weight. I feel 100% sure that I chose the right doctor. I know that initially I wanted to go to Mexico since the prices are much cheaper, but this is body we are talking about, I want to get the best done and have peace of mind that a reputable doctor will take care of me. Sorry for the long post, I just have so much to say! I will continue updating you guys , I know I still have 1.5 years before surgery but I do feel like its therapeutic to write about. Ok ladies! I will be in touch with you guys!
