After shopping around and several consults in and...
After shopping around and several consults in and around Miami I chose Dr. Krau because of the cleanliness of his office (you wouldn't believe other places I came upon), the results I saw online, and his professionalism (including being honest about what to expect post surgery and his strong suggestion that I quit smoking before surgery). All of this was really for my own wellbeing and it actually got me to quit!
Dr. Krau was also very helpful and encouraging when at my last pre-op appt I told him I didn't think I was going big enough. I had gone to consults with family members who were trying to have a say so in what size to go to. When I told him I didn't think I would be happy with a C cup he took out the Mentor system and had me try on different looks. When I found what I liked he explained that it was possible and would work for me considering my frame.
I ended up doing 650cc implants. I initially wanted mod but after surgery discovered he had put in high profile implants. I was distressed at first but later grateful. It was a decision he had to make during surgery because the mod implants were too wide for the size I wanted and would have caused major side-armpit boob. The high profiles were a better fit for ME and I am glad he has the confidence in his skill to make the right decisions even while already in the operating room.
In addition, I got what I asked for... EXACTLY what I asked for. I told Dr. Krau I did not want a gap between my breasts and that I wanted my breasts to appear as though I am wearing a supportive bra even when I have no bra on. Hello, sugartits :)
Lastly lets talk about scarring. What scars? Enough said.
To be completely honest I did have a revision done two and a half years after. The cost was minimal (anesthesia and OR; $1000), and so was recovery time as it was just the removal of scar tissue build up and lowering of one pocket.
It's importent to understand that with any surgery including plastic surgery complications such as capsular contracture can occur. I know this and I don't blame my Dr for it. He was very helpful and just as caring in helping to correct this problem.
I have gone to Krau for other procedures but will post separate reviews on those.
If considerng breast augmentation by all means shop around, but make sure Dr Ary Krau is on your list of consults because you may not realize what a great experience cosmetic surgery is SUPPOSED to be until you step into his office.

Dr. Ary Krau's confidence rubs off in a way that is reassuring. He will try to work with whatever it is you want but will be upfront and honest. Follow up care is so great it's almost a pain to have to go to all the appointments but at least they always have cookies :)
