So I'm finally sitting down to give my overall review of my entire experience from the day of surgery to now 5wks PO. I arrived to Miami the day before my surgery and my pre op instructions were no eating past 11 because I was scheduled for 11am Monday morning, good thing I followed my mind and had my last meal at midnight because I didn't go in for surgery at my scheduled time at all!! The staff at spectrum needs major improvements!!!! Another patient was there for a follow up with the same last name as me and very similar first name and ended up mixing us up. Due to them not paying the proper attention to paper work and names I wasn't seen by Dr Omulepu until 3pm. Dr O was wonderful, he knew exactly what I wanted without having to say much to him and answered all questions I had. My PO visit was quick he looked at them, told me my do's and don'ts, answered any remaining questions I had and cleared me to return home. Recovery has been a lil difficult because I have a 10month old and she's extremely attached to me but I'm able to lift her now so it's much better than before. Would I go back to Dr Omulepu again yes even though some of his staff lacks common sense.
Frustrated
OK so I don't know how many ladies have had an issue with the staff at Spectrum but its really starting to get to me. What's the sense of having a patient coordinator if you haven't heard from them since the day you put down your deposit? My coordinator is Karla and I've left her numerous emails and messages all which have gotten no response. When I call the facility to ask a question they tell me she's the one I need to speak with, proceed to transfer me to her extension only to get the recording. If I'm paying my money to have this procedure done then I need someone that I can count on to at least answer me back if I leave a message or send an email to. Its so frustrating. Now it has me rethinking going there, I don't want to have to look into another place or doctor at this point cause I felt like I've come so close. Im supposed to go in 3wks so we will see what happens before then.
