Abscess finally closed up!

My abscesses, (I had 2) finally closed up like 2 weeks ago. Man was it a long journey! I was so relieved I didn't have to wrap it up anymore, I really hated to do that plus it showed through clothes. Now I have two ugly scars on my butt ??. Just wanted to update you guys :)

Packing and draining

So yesterday I had to take the gauze out of the wound. Omg worst pain ever. Felt like I had been stabbed with a knife. ???? It took me like a whole hour just to pull the gauze out and I had no pain meds. If this ever happens to you, get in the shower and pull it out so the gauze gets wet. It's much easier but still painful of course. Then I had to have someone pack it back with gauze and put gauze over it and tape it back up. I was literally screaming, it hurt so bad. Just the thought of having to pull the gauze out again makes me sick. I'm so sad about all of this. Anyways just wanted to update everyone.

Abscess drained and packed

Ughhhhh...so I went to a general surgeon I had a referral for from the ED. He looked at the abscess and said I had two options.. He could drain it or I can continue my antibiotics and see if it goes away. At this point, I just want the damn thing gone. So I opted to cut it and drain it. He packed it with gauze. That was like one of the worst experiences????. I had to get like 6 shots of lidocaine around the abscess and then he sliced it open and drained it using a syringe. There was like over 10cc's of blood and pus in the abscess and it was about 2 inches deep. He cleaned it out with a q tip and I literally felt everything. Omg it was horrible. They claim I won't have a dent in my butt and I'm hoping I don't. I have like 4 other lumps in my butt and have no idea what it can be because after my booty got soft there weren't any lumps there before. I am hoping this situation resolves on its own.. But I saw someone else who had to get a bunch of abscesses drained on her butt and three weeks later the holes still didn't close. My goodness.. Too much. I included a picture of the gauzed area, when I take the dressing off tomorrow I'll take another pic. Pray for me!!!

Dr. Ortega is a great surgeon... His office staff, not so good. After surgery they're nowhere to be found. I had a post op issue and they took an entire week to call me back, had issues getting my medical records to be seen by someone in my state. Would I go back to Dr. Ortega if he was in a different office? Maybe. Would I go back to him at spectrum aesthetics? Hell no. Be smart and do your research! I would rather pay a little extra for quality aftercare then have to deal with a chop shop!!! I am satisfied with my BBL but he doesn't do aggressive lipo.
