Do you really know who is taking care of you during your recovery period?

So, today I talked to one of my old friends on the phone. She had a BBL performed 2 years ago and hired someone to take care of her during her recovery. She said that she wanted a RN or LPN to take care of her just in case an emergency situation was to occur. Several people on RS recommended a lady that was a RN and had taken really good care of them or someone they knew. So, she called the lady up and she told her that she was a RN of 15 years. She told her she had experience in the ER, OR and ICU. With that being said she decided to hire her as her post op caregiver. When she arrived at this lady's house the day before surgery it was 2 other girls staying with her also. She said one of the girls was having her surgery that day and the other girl was 4 days post op. My friend stated that the next day after surgery the girl that was 1 day post op kept complaining of severe pain, being tired, kept passing out and was complaining that she was having trouble breathing. The nurse just keep on telling her that those symptoms were normal and tomorrow she would feel better. Well later that on that night/early morning the nurse went in to check on her and she wouldn't wake up. Everyone could hear the commotion so they went to the room to see what was going on. The nurse was in their trying to wake the woman up by slapping her in the face, yelling and using cold water on her. One of the other ladies asked her if she was breathing and the nurse said she THINK so. The girl then started having seizures and started foaming out the mouth. The nurse just ran out the room and came back with a spoon to stick in her mouth and was trying to hold her down in the bed. When they told the nurse that they were going to call 911 she told them not to and that she will come back around pretty soon. Well, after a couple of mins nothing changed the girl was still having seizures. The 4 day post op girl got on her cell phone and called 911. When EMS arrived they came in trying to stabilize the girl. One of workers started asking questions about what was going on and wanted to know the girls history. Well, they told him that they were all post op surgery patients and that they were staying with a nurse they hired for post op care. The nurse was no where in the house. She was outside with her boyfriend smoking a cigarette. They had to call her inside so she could try to answer some questions for the EMS team. Once she got inside he asked her if she was the nurse. She said yes, and he asked, RN or LPN? She then said she was a nursing assistant but she was in school to become a LPN. To make a long story short. Once EMS left with the girl all hell broke loose at the house. They confronted her about her lies and demanded their money back. ....... This situation could happen to us. If you hired a nurse or plan on hiring a nurse make sure you check to see if they're really a nurse. You can go online to whatever state they're licensed in and look them up. Make sure their license is still active, not suspended or revoked. It's a lot of people out there that will say and do anything to make some money. They don't care whose life is on the line. Lets be smart about who we hire and where we stay for recovery. It's just as important as the doctors we choose to perform the surgery.

Big Breast issues.. Vedette 945

Today I contacted Salena to make her aware of the size of my breast (40j) and to let her know that the vedette 929 that they use was not going to work me knowing the size of boobs. She advised me not to worry and that they carried different styles in the office. She stated that I would probably be place in the vedette 945. Any vets out there had any experience with this particular style??? Would you recommend it??? If not, what would you recommend??
