I have always had problems with the looks of my tummy. Even when I was down to 110 lbs I still had flab there. I am now heavier than I have been since I was pregnant. I am 67 and I do not want to lose weight in other parts of my body because I already have a saggy skin problem on my arms & legs. I can live with that but I don't want it to get worse.
I am having a TT with Lipo and a facelift done at a hospital in Mexicali, Mex. Two of my children had weight loss surgery there and the staff & hospital is great.

Going shopping today for last minute supplies. Plan to purchase "granny panties" and Palmers Vitamin E Therapy Oil as suggested by some of the PO gals (Kimmer?). One of the benefits of going to Mexicali for my surgery is the fact that I will be in the hospital for 8 days! I will feel much better being there during that time and not having to have my hubby take care of me. Sure, he wouldn't mind that but this way he won't have to see me in pain as much. Maybe I'll be one of those that don't have much pain afterward :) !!
I love being pampered so kinda looking forward to that aspect of the surgery. SInce I am older and retired I don't have all the responabilities with kids etc that you younger gals have so being there for 8 days won't be a problem!

I go to Mexicali tomorrow to meet with my doctor. My TT , lipo and facelift is scheduled for Monday March 12th! I'm ok right now, hope I stay this way and don't get too nervous.

Met my doctor today. He has a great bedside manner and 32 years of experience. I feel very comfortable going ahead with my TT & facelift tomorrow. The only thing I'm a little dissappointed about is that I was wanting a forehead lift but he is only going to do an eyelid lift. He says my forehead would be too high. I have scowl marks between my eyes and a forehead lift would get rid of them. He plans to give Botox in those areas. That will be fine for a temporay fix but it means I will have to continue with the botox to keep the lines away. Oh well, I am hopeful everything will look good. Also he is not tightening my stomach muscles. He said that he doesn't do that for anyone over sixty because of breathing issues. I hope that I will be satisfied with the looks of my tummy. A little worried it will not be as flat as I would like. At this point though just about anything will be an improvemnt! HA!
Wow! I am so excited mu surgery is over....
Wow! I am so excited mu surgery is over. Everything went great! The doctor did a fabolous lipo job, Tummy Tuck and face & necklift. Of couse, right now I look like death warmed over!!! My face is swollen and back and blue but gets better everyday. My TT has been a breeze so far. Knock on wood! I had a spinal for the lipo and TT. Have vague memory of the suctioning under my arns and my back but otherwise remember nothing. My doctor said he showed me the skin he removed and I commented on it but I really don't rememberI He said I would have amnesia of the surgery once I woke up. I had some other anesthesia for the face work. Finally had a BM yesterday after taking a laxative - now today I'm on an anti-diarreal!! Yhe hardest thing for me right now is trying to keep the darn elastic bandage in place. It is constantly rolling up. I get to shpwer tomorrow. I will post pictures later.after I'm home.
Sleep improves every day-if I brace my back with a pillow I can almost sleep on my side. Drains are a pain and am hoping they will be out Mon-we'll see. Keep me posted on your progress-praying you are doing well too.
Stay happy, think positive thoughts and keep in touch.
