38 Yrs Old, 5'2" & 120 Lbs - Minneapolis, MN

I've always wanted a breast augmentation but have consistently felt, as a single mom, I was better off not spending the money or taking the risk (I work in surgical and know how quickly things can go awry with the wrong surgeon). With my daughter now older and having done a plethora of research, I decided to at least go on a few consults to gauge my comfort level with finally moving forward with something I've wanted to do for so long. I went on 5 consults with the top docs in Minneapolis (referrals given by a girlfriend who works closely with all of them, as well as their references online).....and I walked out of all 5 consults feeling even more stressed, confused, positive I'd never actually go through with it. I went on one final consult with Dr. Gregory Mesna and as we walked out, my boyfriend and I were both in agreement, HE'S AWESOME. I was told ahead of time that he's incedibly conservative and favors saline. I wanted silicone and far bigger in size than he initially recommended but Dr. Mesna is so caring, so well in-tune with what you're saying, so brilliant, that he delivered EXACTLY what I wanted without me being able to quote a specific size (in cc's). I had shown pics from the Internet of breast augmentations I thought were well-done, and explained the look was personally going for. The morning of the surgery & just before I was put under, I think my last words were "go as big as you think, then slightly bigger!", hoping he wouldn't be too conservative, but still give me results that were busty, but pretty and natural and not "omg boobs!". Dr. Mesna hit it out of the park, they're EXACTLY what I'd hoped for!!! Recovery was easy, only took pain meds for a day & a half, but my body would feel pretty rundown fairly quickly for about the first week or two after. Overall, and on this side of it, I count my blessings I went with my gut and chose Dr. Mesna. He proved to be a great listener and gave me what I wanted while using his expertise to stay within parameters that look good with my body type, he's caring and calm, so positive and, most importantly, a stellar surgeon! In addition, he was one of the only docs who does the procedure at an accredited surgery center (most do them in their clinics), and every single person who helped with my case that morning at WestHealth, was phenomenal. Needless to say, money well spent and I can't believe I waited so long.
