I am approaching my 35th birthday, and as a mother of two I feel I should look better than I do. My mid-section has been an area of contention for me for most of my life. Unfortunately, when I gain weight, fat accumulates in that area first, but when I lose weight, there seems to be only a slight reduction in volume. My husband had noticed how hard I had worked at trying to reduce the area through diet and excercise and told me to talk to someone about it--of course, he was polite enough to mention that his recommendation had nothing to do with how he views my body, but I believe he was motivated by hearing me complain EVERY time I put a bathing suit on.

I heard about CoolSculpt in January of 2011 and went in for a consultation right away. For 6 months I consulted various doctors about a multitude of procedures but decided to have the CoolSculpt procedure done. I went in yesterday morning for a two hour appointment.

The procedure went well. I had my lower abdomen done with a large applicator and the upper abs done with the small applicator. While the lower procedure did not affect me at all, the upper procedure felt uncomfortable for the first 3 mins. The technician was having a conversation with me during that time and before I knew it, the pinching sensation was gone. Not bad at all.

I am one full day into the process and have no complaints. I walked 5 miles yesterday evening, I will play basketball with my 12 year old daughter this afternoon and am about to go swimming with my 3 year old. I am sore and swollen today, but it is nothing that prevents me from neither exercising nor attending to my daily routine.

The procedure and the technician left me feeling hopeful that I can achieve the body that I have sought since having my first child. I will give updates as I continue the process but I have a feeling that I will be pleased with the results.
