I've never had braces in my life- my teeth were wonderful throughout.... Until my Late 30's and 40,s the front teeth became so forward (buck teeth). The others drifting behind the front teeth.

So... I have had invisalign x 10 months and have completed. There hasn't been any change at all!! I have waited and hoped-- but not one bit of improvement! Also the bottom and top are not in line --and there has been no repair/change! I have literally lived in these with no results.

How horrible, a joke! I have put in each invisalign every 3 weeks-- and there has been no pain, discomfort or anything! I remember the dentist offering me pain meds for pain I was suppose to have -- but I have never received anything uncomfortable!

I have no idea what to do!!!

Hi caralee -- Welcome to RealSelf. We appreciate you taking the time to share your story. Did your dentist have any explanation for why Invisalign didn't work? I thought it was all computer-modelled and results were supposed to follow that. ??

hi, I would like to say that the Invisalign works but, their is a fall back in the process. when you have gone through all the retainers, your teeth will naturally move back to the position they were in before slowly. So all the money you just spent like i did has gone to waste. I'm disappointed in the Invisalign because their is no guarentee that your teeth will stay that way for more then a couple months. I have not recommend this process to anyone who asks about Invisalign. It was a good try to beat the braces thing. I should have gone with braces. I know i would have got a permant retainer to wear to bed and have my teeth perfect ll the time. The Invisalign retainers break after a while. Some advice to all of you that have started to put the program, keep your last 4 retainers incase your teeth move and they will. That is what i did and i only have one left so good luck to all of you.:) I'm not trashing the invisalign they just need to figure out a way to keep our teeth straight after using the retainers.

Hi Caralee, That is so strange. If you have been using Invisalign for 10 months, you must have had at least 20 trays (aligners). Also, why did your dentist have you change them every 3 weeks? Mine are changed every 2 weeks. I don't understand how you could get from aligners #1 to your final aligners and not have any movement of your teeth? That would be impossible. Each aligner is created to move your teeth just a smidge more. Also, my dentist will file between my teeth every so often to make room for more movement of the teeth. I would definitely address this issue with your Dentist.
