I had anterior and medial liposuction to my thighs...
- 20 Jan 2013
I had anterior and medial liposuction to my thighs in 2011. Right from the start I knew things were not going to be right. When I showered for the first time after the operation, I realized there werent enough incisions to cover the areas which he said he was going to remove the fat from. The incisions (2 only on both thighs) were made in the crease at the top of my thigh and on the outer aspect on my thigh. It never looked like the surgeon did the medial thigh (or inner area) and after I saw the incisions, I realized there was no way he could have reached those areas with the incisions as they were.
Despite this and actually paying for the 2 areas he totally dismissed me an assured things would improve. They never did. My thighs are lumpy and have furrows from overly aggressive lipo and poor technique. I have never been able to wear a bikini. I feel so self conscious when wearing a shorter skirt. My legs look worse than my mums. I am 18 and my mum is 50. I have spoken with other surgeons and they have suggested fat grafting and thigh lifts. I just wish I had never met this man and feel he has totally ruined my self esteem. Please do your homework. Even though this surgeon is registered as a plastic surgeon in Australia and has done so much good reconstructive work for others, it just shows me that they cant be experienced in all areas.
My Doctor: Christopher Coombs, MBBS, FRACS
Please ask questions, make sure you don't just pick a surgeon who is nice. Make sure he or she can show you their work and tell you how many procedures like the one you want they have done. Good Luck
