I recently had a breast augmentation and got 350 cc mentor saline high profile implants underneath the muscle.

very very painful, happy with breasts when wearing a bra but they sit a little low and they still feel firm and are very far apart.

They sit very far apart when i dont where a bra and i notice they go into my arm pit, my surgeon says its becuase i have lost weight and my breast bone is more visible. can i wear a special bra that will make them sit more closer together? also i had 290 filled to 350 and its been 3 months and they still fill very firm. -- Updated on Jan 12, 2010: I recently had breast implants and was worried about the gap between my implants, I have done some research on tuberous breasts, and have realised that i have that condition, its not as serious as some of the pictures i have seen. I had a bit of breast tissue, its my nipple that is really really puffy and it really protrudes off my breast even more now that i have breast implants. How could my surgeon have missed this? could this be the reason my breast implants sit so far apart? how do i go about correcting the condition if i already have implants? I know i need a revision because my implants a 3 in a half inches apart, but for the nipple, does he just take off the nipple, cut it down and reatach it or is it more complicated than that? do i have to get new implants when he does the revision? Because my breasts have the gap should my surgeon have opted for moderate profile rather than high as i have a fairly large chest? I have no idea and its really starting to get to me. Please help!

It sounds like you have more than one thing going on here. First, the pain and firmness suggests capsular contracture. Second, the wide gap between the breasts and the fact that they fall into your armpits when you're on your back as well as sitting low when you're sitting up suggests that the implant pockets are suboptimal, either in size or placement, possibly both. I would gently suggest that you first check with your surgeon about this, as there might be an opportunity to get a discount on a revision. That said, you might do well to get at least 2 other consults from other board certified plastic surgeons. I'll admit that I'm a little surprised that you seem to be experiencing what sounds like capsular contracture, despite going under the muscle. Are your implants textured? If not, then this is something you might need to consider. Some surgeons offer additional protocols meant to improve on minimizing the risk of capsular contracture, including an antibiotic wash of the surgical area (and sometimes of the implants themselves) and/or an oral antibiotic for an extended period post-operatively. Be crystal clear when speaking with surgeons during consults, and bring pics of the look you really like, if possible.

The reason implats shift to the side is because the pocket is displaced laterally. It will need another surgery to correct. May cost more. Talk with your plastic surgeon

Your implants are displaced laterally. That is why they are under your arm.IT IS SURGEON RELATED. Too much dissection laterally. You need surgery to correct it.

My Surgeon said its because i have lost weight and you can see more of my breast bone, but once i put on weight they will be closer together. when i lift my arms up they shift to the armpit and when i lie down they fall to the side, they dont literally sit in my armpit all the time there is about a 2 inch gap between my boobs. I was thinking maybe if he put in a moderate profile they would appear closer together? also one appears lower than the other but my before pictures show that my left breast sat lower already is that normal? they have softened up quiet a bit though which im happy about but in the morning they feel firmer is that also normal?
