Hello, I had my TT 6/3 so today is day 5 post op. You should be taking stool softner to help go to the bathroom and/or laxative. You can eat anything you want but most people try and stay away from greasy or salty foods as it may bother your stomach or cause bloating and gas. Sounds like your doing well. Good luck.

Eat lots of protien! It will help with the healing process! Cottage cheese, protien shakes, chicken, tuna, etc. Lots of fruits and veggies....all of this helps w/ healing.

Hi - I would suggest light soups, protein shakes, water, and a digestive enzyme. Using a stool softener is a good idea but I would be careful with a laxative; if it's too harsh that could be uncomfortable. Did you have your TT in Manhattan? Who was your doctor?

I just had my TT w/ lipo on June 1 2010. I was really constipated and i tried everything!! The only thing that worked for me was Milk of Magnesia. It kinda gross tasting but i'm telling you it's the only thing that worked. I now take a little in the morning and a little at night before i go to bed. It worth a try... Good luck!!!

I'm having a TT Nov 5th, so I've been researching this. My PS told me to plan on taking stool softners after my TT, eat lots of fiber and protein.

I had a TT and heria repair 2 1/2 days ago. The pain really took me by surprise but I am also so shocked by how fast I am healing. The gas pain is kicking my but I feels like contractions and is really taking lot of my energy just to cope. I also have not had a bowl movement. I am only taking the Tylenol 3 w codeine and I have passed on the Valium. Is this a mistake? Any suggestions?
