I did LASIK almost two years ago when i was 19 and it was definitely worth it! Both of my eyes were almost at a -8 so I was really bad. I worse glasses since I was in probably second grade and went on to get contacts because I really hated glasses. I also suffer from astigmatism which is the only thing that sometimes still bothers me mostly at night when there is lightening. The day of my procedure I arrived at the office in New York and waited to be seen. I went into a room where an assistant looked at my eyes and went over what was going to happen. I was also offered some pills, but decided not to take it even though I was pretty nervous. My mom was with me though and she did the procedure with the same doctor as well and kept saying I would be fine. It was finally my turn and they took me into a room where I was handing a stuffed animals to hold onto and a blanket since it was really cold in there. I was given numbing drops and then after a few minutes moved to another room where the doctor got to doing his thing. I remember it being blurry and it would go white. I could not see anything, but it was so quick and there was no pain at all. It probably took a total of five minutes since I left the waiting room. I was then brought out to a sitting area that was dark where an assistant put coverings over my eyes and some sunglasses to block the light. I was also given eyedrops to take for the next few days. I went home and just slept the whole day because they don't really want you looking at any lights or using the computer, phones, or tv. I woke up the next day and I could see! It was a little cloudy, but I was already warned of that. I went on to do my daily things and the cloudiness went away after day 3. Ever since then I can see perfectly and have not had any problems. Definitely happy with the procedure and tell everyone to do it! The only negative I had was that I had a followup scheduled and when I showed up the office was closed. I tried to call and no one answered and never heard from them trying to find out if I was okay or to schedule another appointment when I just had the procedure and was new to this.

Quick and painless procedure! Only didn't like that the office scheduled me an appointment for a followup and the office was closed when I showed up at the Paramus, NJ location. Didn't hear from them to make sure I was doing fine and whatever happened with that appointment I had.
