The drain is finally out!!! What a weird sensation it was as Doc pulled it out - not painful, just really really strange. But the best part is I get to have a shower tomorrow!!! After 11 days gesh I might even have two ;)
Thanks Doc for braving the flooded roads and visiting me at the recovery centre since we both couldn't get to the clinic due to severe flooding and gridlocked traffic. Yet another reason I am so thankful I chose this company and in particular this Doc!

8 days post op, 2nd clinic check up with Doc
Didn't have to squeeze out of the compression garment today, just unzipped on side and wriggled it down to my hips. Doc removed a couple more stitches on the tummy scar and all the ones around my belly button. It looks so tidy and cute!
Only draining 30-35 mls every 24 hours so the dreaded drain is coming out on Friday! I'm terrified of Doc taking it out - I want to google it but if it's too painful or gross then I'm just going to worry about it more. In this case ignorance is bliss...I hope!

Day 5 - the compression garment
Doc squeezed me into a size medium compression garment. It is sooooo tight I can barely breathe! But in his own words "this will help the swelling on your thighs and stop them feeling like jello"! It feels strangely comforting - I do wear my knickers over the top to pop my drain into and also my vajayjay doesn't feel like it's poking out the whole in the groin area - another classy moment!
On the up side I don't have to wear the bandages around my boobs & tummy so here I am modelling the companies post-surgery bra. It's really comfortable!!! I love my boobs already - I can't stop touching the tops of them as I love the fullness and cleavage that is already starting to form as they drop.
