Two weeks Today!

Not much new to report - able to do upper body exercises but need to wait to be cleared for spin classes and elliptical machine. Walking on the treadmill everyday and that feels great - I have to fight back the urge to start running :

Wanted to upload some pictures - mainly for reference so when I check back in monthly from here on out I have something to compare to. I had a TON of stretch marks so my results aren't perfect, but I knew that going into this. I am optimistic that time will heal the scar but since no one is really going to see it, it doesn't bother me.
Hope everyone is staying healthy - Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Tara Puja - whatever you celebrate, do it with the ones you love and spread the joy!

What a week!

Can't believe how great I feel! havent had the time to update since we haven't even been home much. On PO day 5 it was a Sunday so we were visiting family and even went to the health club to walk on the treadmill - made two miles :). Started to sleep in my bed and was able to get in and out without any assistance and sleep almost the whole night without having to get up to go to the bathroom. Felt good enough to have sex ?? Luckily it was pretty quick since I later learned I shouldn't have done that since it could have damaged my muscles - couldn't help myself though since I do have a very sexy husbands!

PO day 6 - worked in the kitchen for a couple hours; did three loads of laundry; did a little Christmas shopping and made dinner. PO day 7 - had one son come home from college with his girlfriend for dinner; played some games and caught up on college events. PO day 8 - didn't do much, just hung out and did some online shopping. PO day 9 - started to do some stretching and arm exercising (nothing above my head). Sent out Christmas cards and went grocery shopping. PO day 10 - got my stitches out and was cleared to start wearing my own bras (needed to go buy new ones - did you know Victoria Secrets don't sell DDD in their stores!?!), can ditch the Surgical compression wrap, but I am wearing my own CG - I like the spanx from Kohls. They have a lot of different styles - the boy shorts are my favorite, but I also bought one high waist one that feels nice, just not as easy to pull down for frequent bathroom use. Went out for Friday night fish (very popular her in Wisconsin) and had the baked cod - yummy! Hit up some of our favorite Friday night hot spots - Madison Is a great For nightlife but we were only able to hit three - haha. Played pool and saw a bunch of friends to show off the new twins!

So here it is PO day 11 and I don't have any pain, just some soreness in my breasts, kind of like when your milk comes in from breastfeeding. Doing my twice daily massages and starting my scar care on my TT scar. Just doing bio oil for now until the scabs fall off then I will start the silicone strips. Husband is still sleeping so I am going to go juice my breakfast and make some muffins with the leftover pulp. Schedule for the rest of the day - go enjoy the sights of downtown Chicago and visit my mom.

Should probably take some pictures to upload - can't believe how diffenent my clothes look - it's like I have a completely diffent wardrobe!

Provider Review

Dr. Steven Bernsten

From the moment I walked into the facility I was greeted with smiles and friendliness. Dr. Bernsten made me feel very comfortable and at ease with everything. No wonder they don't even need to advertise; his reputation speaks for itself. Terry, Surgery Coordinator, is just as amazing.
