6 weeks post op

Well 6 weeks have gone by, I think the worst for me was weeks 1 and 2. Now my energy has increased and the discomfort is a lot better. I still feel uncomfortable at times but nothing like the beginning. I have not been allowed to use scar treatment yet. I see my PS at the end of the month and go from there. I did have a tiny amount of yellow fluid coming out on my left side, I called the office and they said they thought a stitch was trying to poke through. I have not seen anything yet. Other than that no major complaints. I am still in the bra from Wal-Mart but I plan on shopping this weekend to see if I can add some other choices. I was feeling down last Friday night and one of my friends happened to send me a picture of myself before surgery. OMG...I would not want to go back. I knew in that moment that I did the right thing. My main concern now is seeing people on regular basis. I have been working from home and not going in the office. I told no one so I am self conscious. I guess I will get over that in time. I hope everyone is doing well. Liz

1 Month Post Op

I am healing slowly but things are better. My energy level is improving, I would say it's about 65%. I actually did my hair yesterday and did some shopping. I have not shopped for clothes yet to much work right now. I am still pretty swollen, my PS felt it has come down quite a bit but when it's you ...you don't feel it. Like you, ColoradoLady I also have a lot of sensation when I drink something cold. That is odd. I am still uncomfortable but no real pain. I think its all a waiting game as long as you don't over do it. I can tell the more energy you have the more difficult that is. I also thought I was going to be a nice small size but as time is progressing I am starting to pop out and now I am not so sure. I hope everyone is healing well!

I have read lots of reviews, comments and advise...

I have read lots of reviews, comments and advise from a lot of you ladies out there and I have appreciated every one of them. I lost 35 pounds before surgery and was feeling pretty good about it. I was most worried about recovery and boy was I right. This has been an experience and not a good one. The surgery was fine and went well. One of the first problems was the adhesive medical tape they use after surgery. Now I am left with three areas that are like friction burns and are painful. When the doc put the bra on me the glue stuck to the bra and rubbed to create a nice sore...I have sensitive skin. It hunts like hell. My boobs look like I have been through a war and I am still very uncomfortable. I am also exhausted, I knew I would be from hearing from all of you but I did not realize just how bad it would be. I see my PS on Monday....lets hope things improve.
