I am fair skinned with green eyes, 39 years old and not very happy with the fine lines, sun damage and loss of firmness I have noticed creeping up on me over the past few years. I decided to try IPL on the spur of the moment just at a beauty centre in Nice. The therapist put a protective cap on my hair and I was told to keep my eyes shut and wear a pair of dark protective goggles. I nearly shot 3 feet in the air the first time the therapist put the wand on my face - it does indeed feel like a hot rubber band snapping on you. I actually thought I would not be able to bear it the second time round but the pain only lasted a few seconds - afterwards I had no pain at all. She did one side of my face and then asked me to look in the mirror, I couldn't believe how firm and lifted it looked compared to the other side. The whole session lasted 15 minutes, afterwards the therapist applied make-up and I walked out feeling and looking fresher and younger! 1 week post treatment and my skin still feels firm, the texture has improved and the redness on my cheeks has diminished. Everyone has commented on how well I look, so as you can imagine I will be returning for more.
