I've always had a thin face and now in my early 50s my cheeks were looking very sunken in which emphasized the marionette lines. In the consultation, my clinician highly recommended Radiesse over Restylane, mainly because it would last longer; he said approximately 18 months. I required 3 syringes which was more than we both expected. Although it was expensive for me, I was very pleased, especially thinking it would last at least a year.

Six months later, I'm back to looking almost as bad as before the treatment. I suppose it's an individual thing, but I'd advise not to expect longlasting results. I saw a website that said it can last 2 years! Don't be deceived; I think that would be an extremely rare case.

Bottom line: Loved the way I looked but disappointed that it was much more short-term than expected. I can't afford treatments twice a year, but I'll do it again if a big event comes up where I want to look my best.
