I had fat grafting done three years ago when I was 19 to my cheeks. I am still unhappy with the results, as it looks pudgy as opposed to pretty. The fat was taken from below my left hip. I am slim, but if I work on losing fat, is it possible to lose this fat on the face? When placed on the face does it act as face fat, or does it still hold the difficulty of losing

Hi - fat placed acts in the same way as its donor site, rather than the natural fat in your face. If it was taken from below your left hip, then it'll be as stubborn/easy to lose as the fat usually is on your hips.

Did he do your upper cheek alone or lower cheeks too? How many ccs?

quno - does the fat from fat transfer feel different as well? Would it feel on your face like you were poking at your hip or would the fat feel more jiggly because the face skin is thinner?

Hi willowtree -- Sorry to hear you're unhappy with your results. You can lose some of the fat graft if you lose weight, but that assumes you need to lose weight (because you'd lose it all over too). Micro-liposuction also works for some people.
