Hello Dolls,

Okay, soooooo Yily FINALLY QUOTED ME! Which at this point doesn't really matter because my mind is definitely made up and I'm for sure going to be a Duran doll in February 2014! Dr. Yily did in fact quote me less than Dr. Duran did and I also noticed that Dr. Duran states that it is mandatory to purchase insurance in case of any complication where as Dr. Yily says its optional.
Why would you make insurance "OPTIONAL"? So that definitely made me feel better about choosing Dr. Duran. For the ladies who want to know what Yily quoted me she quoted me $3550.00 for lipo of back, abdomen, flanks, and BBL. Plus the "optional" insurance was $250.00. Although Yily dolls look amazing I feel much more comfortable with Duran.

Now...

I finally sent my deposit to Duran...

So for the people who are looking into sending her the deposit via Xoom.com don't bother girls they are no longer wiring money to Dr. Duran due to the fact that she is using it for commercial purposes and their not allowed to wire for commercial purposes only for personal reasons.

For the girls who were looking into it Dr. Duran suggests to use Citi Bank to wire the money to her account but I've heard Citi Bank requires too much information. I didn't look into it so "DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THIS"

I used Wells Fargo bank and the process was short sweet and straight to the point. I will post a picture of the Form I had to fill out for you all to see how simple it was. Also, a heads up there is a $45.00 fee to wire internationally.

I have filled out my passport application and took the passport pics (WHICH I HATE, I think I'm gonna retake them lol) and I will be submitting my application tomorrow. The passport is $110.00 plus a $35.00 processing fee. Total of $145.00.

Even though my trip isn't until February I have already started buying some supplies such as: Gauze pads, Medical tape, pill organizer, etc.. I'll post a pic of the stuff I bought it all from the Dollar Tree :) I LOVE TO BARGAIN SHOP.

I'm still working on finding out if Duran provides a doctors note, I will keep you dollies posted =)

Hey Future Duran Dolls,

I am finally getting the chance to sit down in front of a computer and give you guys a little information about my experience with the beginning steps of my journey.
Let me begin by saying to the future dolls; once you have REALLY decided that this is what you wanna do. This procedure WILL consume your every being…lol. (I can only speak for myself) Since I made my decision I go to sleep thinking about it and wake up with it on my mind. Not to mention Realself.com makes it no better!!! I absolutely LOVE this site and coming on here has definitely helped with molding my decision. A lot of the dolls that have went through the surgery have gotten very graphic and give you TONS of information! I am hoping to help you all with as much information as I can based on MY experience.
Okay now moving on: I have constantly read that Duran is an AMAZING surgeon BUT it either takes TOO LONG or she does not get back to you as soon as you would like. Okay ladies PERSISTANCY is KEY! Not only did I leave a comment on her Instagram, I also sent her several messages on her FB, and lastly I emailed her on her business email.
Also, A LOT of the problem is that there is a HUGE language barrier because she does NOT speak much English so for the ladies that don’t speak Spanish I SUGGEST HAVING SOMEONE WRITE HER THE EMAIL IN SPANISH SPECIFYING EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT DONE. Fortunately for me I speak Spanish but now that I think about it the first email I sent her was an English once I emailed her again I emailed in Spanish.
My experience communicating with her was great she was very welcoming and sweet and even playful. I emailed her some pictures of me and my dream body and then she quoted me. I proceeded to let her know that I wanted a date in Mid-February and she replied with FEBRUARY 11th THAT IS PERFEEEEECCCCCTTT. She then went on to ask if I have any illnesses or if I am a smoker ( I read somewhere that if you are a smoker the fatty tissue injected may diminish due to smoking, you all may want to research that I am not a smoker so I could be wrong. DON’T QUOTE ME ON THAT) and if not that we can continue with the procedure. She went ahead and sent me the information all the ladies get regarding what you need Pre-Op and Post-Op (and I will make sure to list those things at the end of my update), along with information about the rehab centers, some cheap airlines, and information on the next step to take to save my date.
Deposit for me is $250.00 USD I am not sure if it is the same for all the girls but just so you all know it is NON-REFUNDABLE and what it does is hold your date for you so if you are still DEBATING on your decision think about it VERY WELL before you end up losing 250 bucks. She provides you with her account info and what the best way to deposit the money to her account is =) Mine is going out next Thursday and then it is OFFICIALLY ON!
So let me re-iterate that I am DEFINITELY getting that warm and fuzzy feeling in my tummy about the procedure and about my decision with picking Dr Duran I am so excited… I can’t wait to meet her and the rest of the ladies that will be making this life altering surgery around the same time.
MY CONCERN: This question goes out to the ladies who have already done the surgery my jobs requires an advance notice for my Medical Leave, Do you all know if she does indeed provide a note with restrictions and the whole 9? I sure do hope so O_o… For my future dolls who do have jobs let me pull out my handy dandy notebook and do some research I will definitely get back to you all with this information =).
Okay now to the information you need for Pre-Op/ Post-Op and any contact information you may need:
Pre-Op:
Dr. Duran will request you to attempt to get your Hemoglobin Level: This is a red protein responsible for transporting oxygen in the blood of vertebrates.

BUT…

If you are unable to get this she gives you the option to take the following vitamins a month PRIOR to surgery:

-Vitamin C & B12

She also advises you to begin showering with surgery anti-bacterial soap 2 days PRIOR to surgery. (For Example: Dermiscrub Liquid Soap)

Post-Op:
The vitamins and medicated creams she requested for you to have are as follows:

-Fraxiparina or Mexaprin (a class of medication used as an anticoagulant)
-Amoxicilin w/ Clavulanic Acid (is a combination antibiotic consisting of amoxicillin trihydrate is widely used to treat many infections.)
-Iron
-Vitamin C
-Vitamin B12
-Omeprazole (antacid (trade name Prilosec) that suppresses acid secretion in the stomach.)
-Protein (Example: Ensure)
-Heparin Gel (is a topical gel used for treating bruises and ulcers and strengthens the tissues.)
-Arnica (A preparation of this plant used medicinally, esp. for the treatment of bruises)

Other items to bring for Post-Op:
-Period Pads
-Cotton white T-shirts
-Gauze
-Baby Wipes
-VERY VERY comfortable clothes (keep in mind you or may be swollen so make sure the clothes is big in size or something that will stretch)

Soooooo okay ladies after reserching and wanting this surgery for so long I have finally decided that Team Duran is the way to go. She shows much more consistency than Yili does with much fewer chances of any malfunctions or incidents. Not to mention that the asses she gives are B-E-A-U-TI-FUL. A lot of the more recent Duran dolls are looking just simply amazing.

I emailed, IGd, AND Facebooked her the last two days and she just responded we're emailing back and forth as I'm writing this update. My quote is 4280 and that includes insurance and the antibiotics for post-op. I'm sending my deposit next Thursday I'm so excited. I'm looking to get the surgery like mid February but I still have no word on her availability.

Anyone else planing on going around the same time? I'm looking for a buddy :)
