I am now 4 weeks post op, ready to write my review of Dr Hughes

I am not very good at writing reviews in complete full detail but here goes nothing.....

I arrived in California on May 14th, and had my pre op appt on the 15th, went for the pre op and everything went pretty smoothly, did all the tests and discussed with the nurse all the post op instructions and got my prescription and off I went to enjoy LA before my surgery on Monday the 18th of May. Went to fill my prescription where they advised me but the pharmacy was closed on the weekend, so I had to fill my prescription on the morning of my surgery, not a problem.

Surgery was scheduled 9am on Monday May 18th, I arrived half hour early as advised from the nurses. Nurse came in, gave my scrubs to put on and asked me a few questions and told me it wouldn't be long. I waited for about 2 hours until the nurse came back and told me that the Dr had and emergency and he was running behind schedule, no problem. Finally after long time waiting Dr Hughes comes in around 1230pm and I finally meet him for the first time!! He starts asking me questions and I am a smoker, I had smoked the morning of the surgery (Stupid me) And due to that, Dr Hughes told me he would not perform the surgery unless I wait two days and if I can quit smoking for 6 weeks post op. He explained that if I wasn't planning to not smoke for 6 weeks then he will refund me my money because we would be wasting each others time and my results would not be as expected. This made me immediately feel at ease, this doctor knows what he is talking about and he explains everything in full detail. So after talking about how I want my results to be and agreeing to not smoke, we rescheduled surgery for 6am on Wednesday May 20th.

I arrive at the office at 540am for surgery at 6am, didn't wait too long till the nurse came in and checked my blood pressure, went over all the instructions once again and the anesthesiologist came in to tell me that we will be starting soon. Dr Hughes came in and asked me if I wasn't smoking (I did not smoke once) and told me he was ready for me. Now my nerves were going crazy. I enter the operating room and it was so cold in there and I was now so nervous. All the nurses were extremely sanitary and extremely comforting to me before surgery. The anesthesiologist was talking to me as he was putting in my IV and making me feel at ease right before I fell asleep.

I wake up and I felt like death, the nurses were talking to me, but I barely remember anything from the recovery room to the hotel, I was so messed up on the drugs they gave me. I didn't start feeling pain till the evening. The pain was not quite as bad as I thought it was going to be, I just used a lot of the main meds and just slept for the entire day of surgery. Lots of drainage, which I knew was normal, the nurse had informed me about this.

The next morning I go to have a shower, my advice, the first time you take the garment off to shower, make sure you're laying down. I was so anxious to see what was under the big bulky garment, I went into the bathroom and took it off in front of the mirror and immediately after I took it off I felt light headed and I almost fainted. I told the doctor about this at my post op appt and he said it was totally normal to feel that way after removing the garment.

I went home to Canada just 2 days post op, due to the change of the dates for my surgery. Flight was about 3 hours with a small layover, but it wasn't too bad, I upgraded to first class and got treated well because people could tell I just had surgery (they just didn't know what surgery) My stomach is still a little numb and Im still a little tender, I am so anxious to be able to work out again

Overall, my experience with Dr Hughes was a 10/10 experience, he listened to everything I had to say, he did exactly what I asked of him and he was very informative throughout the whole procedure, even till today, when I email him, his responses are always extremely prompt, which is fantastic. Customer service in his office in not the greatest, but you can't have everything be perfect, I don't mind bad customer service to have beautiful job done. The receptionists and one or two of the nurses don't seem to be very knowledgable. Good thing for Dr Hughes.

Im super happy with my results and I would definitely go back to see Dr Hughes again!! Not only is he an amazing doctor but he's nice to look at too :)

Thank you Dr Hughes for giving my a perfect butt and a flat stomach!!!!

I have called in and booked my surgery for BBL on...

I have called in and booked my surgery for BBL on May 18th. My pre op will be on the 15th. I am a little nervous because I am coming from Canada to do the procedure. I have been reading on this site for a few months now and decided based on reviews and pics to go with Dr Hughes. Without consulting any other doctors. I don't know if there is anything I should be doing before I head down there or anything I need to bring. I was told I need to quit smoking which will be quite a task. But I have been dreaming of this butt for so long. I am posting this to see if anyone has any advice or pointers for me leading up to surgery and also post op as well. I am super excited. But also nervous with all my tattoos. Don't know if the surgery will affect my tattoos at all. If anyone has done this procedure that has many tattoos if appreciate the input. Thank you. I will post some pictures of me now as well as some wish pics. I appreciate any feedback or advice. Thanks
