Not Worth It
Spent: $500 in Alabama
Oh no no no, will never do this again. Had Juvederm injected for my nasolabia folds and then for lines around the corner of my mouth like this ( )...oh my now I look like Steven Tyler from Aerosmith...too much excess around the mouth my jowls look worse and I look older and too boot the wrinkles are still there...I had awful brusing couldn't cover it completely with make up.. Husband said I look like I had five O'clock shadow..so this bearded lady had to go out to a business dinner like this and no one could figure out what was wrong with me..I was so embarrassed I asked my husband if it would be okay if I told them he wacked me..he said absolutely not I got myself into this mess he wants no part of it. So I am praying and hoping that when the swelling and brusing go down I will have less jowls and my skin won't be permenately stretched out. I feel the juvederm under my skin it feels hard. I hate it!!!

Just had juvederm and I also have bad bruising, swelling and looked like Marge simpson - It has been 2 days and I still look like I got beat up - just wondering how long it took you to look better if it ever happened. Thanks for replying if you can. I am a little freaked out.

I had juvederm plus in my upper lip and mouth corners 2 weeks ago and I'm still not a fan thus far. I had bad brusing inside my lips and on one above my lip and bad swelling/and noticeable lumps on one side of my upper lip. The bruising went down in about a week, but 2 weeks in, it still feels kind of stiff in my upper lip and hurts some to try to pucker/attempt to whistle. I'm told by the doctor that it can sometimes take several weeks for it to loosen and not feel stiff/etc. Does anyone else have any updates on how long it takes to have your lips feel "normal" again?

I have the same mouth jowls after 3 weeks... I was thinking last night how much I look like Steven Tyler and now I miss my old face. I said it before after my botox nightmare, and now this, I obviously am not meant for injectables.

I was terribly bruised around my mouth for 6 days - looked like I had gone a few rounds in the ring. I am still not sure, 3 weeks later, if I think it was worth it. There are some small hard lumps under my skin that seem like blemishes but I don't think they are - they are a little pink as well. They run along my nasolabial folds where the juvederm went so I assume it's the filler. My upper lip is a little more plump - in an appropriate way. The difference is kind of subtle as I only had 1-1/2 vials injected (due to financial constraints). I think it's made an improvement.

Have your jowels cleared up? Mine have not at all at 9 months. My new doctor says I may have formed my own collagen where this idiot injected the parentheses ( ---- ) around the corners of my mouth. It has also been suggested by others I may have scar tissue. This is terrible. So depresseing.
