pros: quick recovery, no post-op pain , swelling or haematomas,

cons: cost, now a new hump on my nose, not happy with the result

indication for surgery: dorsal and lateral hump on my nose

i had closed rhinoplasty 4 weeks ago for a dorsal hump and lateral humps as well, the hump was removed, the tip was slightly raised and a surgisis mesh was inserted at the bridge of the nose to apparently correct the angle between forehead and nose. i have now a new hump, higher than the original obe but as disturbing as the original one and i am very scared it would last, could it be that the graft has moved down or folded to cause this? i wrote to my surgeon and he replied the usual "wait and see", but i am really worried about the final result, as the new hump looks even more unnatural than the old one.

I am sorry to hear about your problem. More than likely it is a reaction to the implant rather than it moving. You should have your surgeon look at it and make sure there isn't an infection that could be treated. Sometimes a steroid injection can be used to help with these problems. Best of luck!
