Worth It
Spent: $4,900 in Santa Ana, Orange county, California

i had been unhappy for several years with my jawls and sagging neck skin,i also had a broken jaw 10 years ago and was very self consious about my lower face being somewhat crooked. last friday i went in for the lifestyle lift including lipo in my jawl areas and the turkey neck.

well, sat and sun.were almost umbearable however just like the dr. promised i am felling much better now.only 3 days later and most of the swelling is gone and i cant hardly belive my eyes when i look in the mirror.all the sagging skin and droppy jawls are gone.and i swear my face does not look crooked like before.

Hi, I just came across this site and I wanted to comment on your remark. I am 53 now and had the lifestyle lift 3 years ago and I am just as happy now as I was with it then. I have one bad scar but it is fading. The surgery was frightening to me because I wasnt prepared for it as they made it sound too easy. Had I been prepared it wouldnt have been I think. Anyway 3 years later and it still looks great. I think good skin elasticity and a skilled doc is the key. Because if the skin is thin and dry I think it will sag again sooner and if your doctor is not skilled the results will be unskilled. Luckily I have always had real oily elastic skin and had a great doc. Hope this helps.

I have been scheduled to see {edited} at Lifestyle Lifts in Santa Ana. Did he by any chance do your procedure? I am putting it off for a while until I see and hear more about him. Editor note: To make or request doctor recommendations, please visit our Doctor Recommendation Forums.

I have seen patients with great results for over the last year. I had mine done Monday April 7, 2008 and I feel great. Procedure was painless, today the wrap came off and what a wonderful suprise not to see that hanging, sagging turkey neck. I had my procedure done in Las Vegas. Have had little pain since the surgery and I am very pleased with the outcome. You can contact me at anytime and I can tell you who I saw and where. All clinics I believe are different, I have not seen any bad comments on this site regarding my Dr. Contact me at {edited} I will be happy to answer any questions. Hi, I had my LL performed in Virginia, also on April 7th 2008. I'm hoping you can help me to feel better about having the procedure. I had my lower face, neck, and lower eyelids done. I'm still as swollen and bruised as I was immediately after the surgery, perhaps even more so. The pain has lessened some though but I'm taking a lot of pain medication. I still have the sutures in, but there are an awful lot of them and they look really bad. I didn't do enough research beforehand and am now pretty scared after reading many of the comments on this website. I'm really worried that I'll look worse than I did before. I recently moved to a new apartment and all of my new friends are 8 t 10 years younger than I am, so I wanted to fit in with them better. I am a widow and foolishly didn't tell my children about this before I had it done, but have since told them. They were very understanding, but I am now thinking maybe I made a big mistake. Do you know how long I can expect to have such bruising and swelling? I can handle the pain. I appreciate whatever help you can give me. Helaine

I live in washington D.C. area, so if I want to do the LL it will be the same place in VA. I am curious though, how are you right now. It is my understanding that you had a lot of pain, bruising and swelling. Is it better? I hope so. I would like to hear from you before I have it done. Is the doctor good? Is the follow up procedure good? I really appreciated your comment.

I live here in vegas and am interested in having the lifestyle lift. Can u tell me the name of the doctor who did yours. Also, are things still looking good for u. I have read so many disparaging things about the lsl that I am poised to do this. Do u believe a 2 week leave of absence from my job would be enough time to totally recover. I wish I knew people who had this done 2 or 3 years ago and are still very satisfied. If u know of any, can u tell me. Thanks for any info you can give me surrounding your procedure. glad to know someone is happy with the lsl. best of luck

How are you feeling now about the procedure? Regrets?

I had the Lifestyle Lift done in Reston with {edited} last week (8 days ago) and I'm doing fine. (just the neck lift) It was really scary at the time ...being awake for the operation, though I couldn't feel anything. At first it really hurt so I took the pain pills and pretty much slept all the time in a recliner for 2 days. (I'm very well rested now!) My neck looks great and the creepy looking stitches have been removed (behind the ears haven't all disolved yet) but I can tell that the ones that really concerned me, in front of the ears, will be looking pretty good in another couple of weeks.(I have long hair so I can cover them right now and have gone back to work) I am being very careful to follow ALL the instructions! Right now I'm massaging the scars several (4-5x)times a day with Vitamin E oil and it has already made quite a difference. (I also wear the head wrap at night and iwhen hanging around at home and I think I will continue to do that for as long as possible, maybe on and off forever as I love how my neck looks now and want to keep it that way as long as possible!) I don't reccommend the procedure as a "lunch time" deal. It's basically a regular neck lift with out the anesthesia. (Which always make me sick) and I would DEFINETELY research the doctor doing the operation! ...but I do really like my neck now for the first time ever! But it is a big deal so do your research! (mine was $4500.) Editor note: To make or request doctor recommendations, please visit our Doctor Recommendation Forums.

I am so glad you look and feel better. I had mine done in April. Don't forget you will still have numbness around the ears for up to three months. Congradulations on making a great choice.

I haven't done mine yet either. I have heard a couple of good things about Vegas but I can't find out the name of the Dr . there. Or how long this procedure lasts either. Cadyt, Carole

I made a decision and signed my paperwork for the LSL Reston office to do my jowls. Since it has been 4-5 months since Ms. Brum's procedure, I want to ask her if she is still happy with her results. I have had some procedures before and I know that realistically, each passing day shows improvement. The final result does not come right away but it will alleviate my fears if Ms. Brum is doing great and is still happy about her unfolding result! THanks.

I had it done a year ago and my face has dropped and my jowls have come back. I would recommed to get a board certified plastic surgon before signing anything. My face sarting dropping 6 months after my surgery and I was told it should hold up for 5 years.
