Feelin great

It's been 6 months now & even though it's been a hell of a learning experience,my body has come to terms with the changes. You have to work with the op,these are only tools,it is going to be hard but if your thinking about either the sleeve or the gastric bypass ,look at these results.Like many others I wish I had done this a long time ago,I now love the gym,it's my second home now that I have started building muscle. Its been a journey which I am happy to talk to anyone about,if anybody needs help or even motivation let me know, don't do it by yourself ask anyone on this site,we're all in the same family now whether you've had your op or waiting to go through it ask.The photos are of my before & after 6 months ,I will add more in a few months again.Look forward to talking again.M

Today's the day

Hi again ,I have been through my tests & had a meeting with my surgeon.
All cards put in front of me ,very informative questions & answers session, went very well.
The professor gave me a lot to think about & advised certain things ,there are pros & cons to both bypass & sleeve ,however this being said I am now convinced that the bypass is now the better route for me .
If anything I was convinced that reading loads of literature on the sleeve would give me all of the knowledge to make an informed decision, the more I listened to the professor the safer it felt going the known outcome route ,with over 45 yrs of results & over 3000 ops by professor Malackas ,I am now 100% sure this is the right surgery to go ahead with. The recovery time is slightly better for the bypass than the sleeve & you can drink almost straight away as for the sleeve it takes longer for the bowel to start working properly, also there is the acid reflux which is more with the sleeve & feeling nauseous .There is also the chance of the stomache twisting, even though this is not common it can & does happen in some cases. This is only some small informed info I am sharing ,however it's down to everyone to make the right choice for themselves.I am sure there are arguments for & against both surgery procedures.I cannot wait now ,roll on 16:00hrs I will be in sleep land.Good luck to everyone doing there ops over the next few days, see you all on the other side.Best wishes martin.

I have just had my pre op testing carried out ,got my tablet to take tonight before bed.
Just about to get my gastroscopy done to check my stomach ,I am not looking forward to this at all,but I will update once I have finished.my surgery is at 16:00 hrs tomorrow ,I have been told that I can eat ,however I think it is better to keep drinking my meal replacements until op is done.We have to get used to minimal food intake anyway.
Speak again soon with my updates, best wishes Martin.
