Hi,
I am 46 years old an had liposuction on my stomach, the insicion in my belly button still hasnt healed after 3 months. My surgeon has put me on antibiodicts for 10 days and also
prescription creams. Around the belly button on the right side remains swelled. What advise could you give me.

Did you go back to the doctor after the 10 day course didn't work?

I'd go to an internal medicine doctor - NOT your plastic surgeon - and tell them what happened. If you have some kind of absess or non-healing wound 3 mos after surgery, that can't be a good sign. You may need the area probed more .. but don't delay, cuz you need to get on top of this before it becomes a systemic infection. Are you running a fever or have any other signs of being sick? Also, are you a smoker? Cuz that will definitely slow down your healing. Good luck in getting this resolved.
