Have you had any results with getting the refund? I am going in Friday for my "refund consultation" and they say it can take up to 60 days. If you haven't gotten your refund, please let me know how far you got in the process...I have a name and number you can call to get going on it.

I started LD (now known as fig.) in November. My friend and I went in for a consultation and both signed up for 3 areas. I feel bad now cause I talked her into doing it. I started out with the 1 area in my first treatment, then moved up to two for the other treatments. I had horrible side effects. I would have to schedule my treatments for Friday after work and I would be down for the whole weekend every time I went for treatments. The discomfort and swelling would get so bad that I would have to take pain meds to take the edge off.

When we first went in, we were told that we would see results after the 2nd treatment. At our third treatments I was told that it was usually during the break between the third and fourth treatments that you started seeing results. At my fourth treatment I was told it could take up to 6 treatments to see results. At that point I had gained 6 pounds and told the nurse I was not satisfied. I was told that the company could do nothing for me until I finished treatements. This is despite the fact that every time I went in I told them how hard it was for me to get the treatments and the extreme side effects I suffered from. I made the decision to continue because I had invested so much time and pain that I knew only a couple more treatments and I could get a refund if it didn't work.

My fifth treatment came and they put in double the meds in my lower abs. I didn't know you could do that until I went in for my fourth treatment and had that done then too. I was told that sometimes you could see faster results. During my fifth treatment the needles hurt really bad. I kept saying that it hurt far worse than normal, the nurse insisted she was doing nothing different and continued. I went home to bed as usual. Within one hour I had hives covering my entire body. My sister came to take me to the ER and by the time we got there my hearing was affected because the hives were in my ears and the allergic reaction was so severe that the hives clumped together and engrossed parts of my body. I spent the evening at the ER and have spent this past week on steroids for the hives. This was last Friday night.

What I realized Friday night is that since I have started LD I have been suffering from random breakouts of hives. I have sensitive skin, and I am allergic to a couple meds so I've had hives before, but usually you know right away what you did differently to cause them. This time I couldn't figure out what was breaking me out. I missed 2-1/2 days of work, had medical expenses, and took I don't know how much Benedryl for these crazy breakouts. They were massive hives, too, not just little ones. My doctor and I chalked it up to stress as the stress at my job had increased greatly. But I figured it out Friday night at the ER. The first treatment I had no hives because it was only one are. It wasn't until after a week after the second treatment that I had my first reaction. Because the meds stay in your body, my body continued to react to the medicine. It wasn't until Friday (which the double meds and probably placement of the meds causing the severe allergic reaction) that I could definitively tie the hives to the LD - before that I hadn't even considered it!

Saturday morning I called LD and told them about my reaction. They scheduled an appointment for me on Monday to go in. Then a couple hours later I got a call saying that I didn't need to go in, that I needed to call someone else (who turns out is the head or pres of client relations). I called on Monday and left a message. Tuesday I got a call from another party who said I needed to schedule an appointment. She tried to tell me that I had almost finished my treatments and I quickly cut her off and reminded her that I still had a third area that I hadn't started and had been experiencing medical issues the whole time but was told I had to continue. She didn't say anything else. I have an appt on Friday at noon, and I cannot wait to tell them what I think. To date, outside of the medical issues raised above, I have gained 7 pounds (this is per LD weigh-ins at every appt) with zero results.

Remember at the beginning of my story I said that the time when my friend and I would be seeing results kept getting longer? I have her as a witness (and sounds like the promote those false results a lot)...she is also going for a refund. She's gained weight same as I and no results (she didn't not have medical issues like I did though - I know my reaction was atypical).

I'm thinking, class-action lawsuit??? False claims of results, pressure to purchase the package with promise of quick results, being encouraged to continue with treatments despite adverse side effects.....there has to be something that can be done about this company. I know if they do not give me a refund (and I even have photographs of my hives along with medical docs) then I am consulting an attorney – and I’m considering that even if they do give me the refund.

I too have gained about 6 pounds from when the whole thing started. My belly is discolored also. Brown and redish.
Also I have not seen any results or inches lost. I have had all 6 treatments and started in Oct. I was never overweight either but not have gained a pant size from a 2 to a 4/6

I have just finished my 2nd treatment on love handles, and I love the results after only 3 weeks. Yes, the pain was noticeable after the injections, but they went away after ten minutes. The quesionnaire that I filled out asked what my pain tolerance was, and I rated mine at a 7 (1 being the least amount of pain tolerable), so I can handle a few injections. Also, I was told at first that my blood pressure was too high and they would not do the treatment until it came down. Luckily, I went home, and relaxed, (I have white-coat syndrome) and thankfully it went back to normal. The swelling that occurs is supposed to happen according to my nurse practioner, and I have taken to drinking a lot of water, per the instructions. Plus, I'm no doctor, but I do know one thing. If you usually consume 3,000 calories a day and only burn 2,000, the remaining 1,000 is going somewhere. I've stopped eating all the cookies and started watching my beer intake, and I'm seeing the desired results; loose clothes. I didn't do weight managment because I am 5' 9'' and 172 lbs, so I was a good candidate. Someone that has areas that are resistant to exercise & diet. As with any procedure, it may not work on some individuals, but luckily it is working on me. I'm 45 years old and I've had these love handles ever since I was introduced to beer & pizza. They are on their way out, and I'm loving it!

I had lipodissolve administered from Sept. through April of this past year (06-07).  I developed severe edema, lumps under the skin which you could see .  I also had major muscle fatigue (more than I should). I had numbness at the injected sites.  pain that lasted for days after the injections.  I developed increased acne, hair that was produced more than normal on my arms, legs and face.  I started to feel like the weekly and biweekly  treatments were not doing me any good.  I went in waying 32 lbs and last treatment I weighed in at 138lbs.  It could have been all the edema and lipo chemicals causing water retention.  I also started feeling like my mind was becoming hullicinating that I knew people were after me and trying to kill me.  I ended up in the hospital with this psychosis.  I now do not know what to believe because as soon as I quite the lipo in early April and stayed in the hospital, I felt 100% better.  Weird and I do not know what else to do.  Help!!! I am confused.

For refunds call the main toll free number at LD corporate in St Louis - talk to Tonya or Jamie Baker. You will most likely not get a return call if you leave a message because they don't return calls (and after 3 messages to Tonya, I had to send an email through their main site and she finally returned my call and told me that she "had no records of messages" from me.

When you go for your refund, pull your "Guaranteed Results Program" form that you signed regarding the refund - it would have been signed when you signed up and is signed by you and a Fig. rep. Make sure that you remind Tonya what that form says will be the time frame for your refund because they will pull a "bait and switch" on you and tell you something different (and much longer) than what you signed. Hold them to that agreement because they sure won't do it (the first sign of a very unethical and immoral company).

jamie34- dispute the charges with the credit card company....tell them you are in the refund process and that you are not paying them a dime more and if they want the money to call and harass fig. I was told by one of the fig employees to do the same except that my account was already paid in full so I couldn't

Good luck!

Calling fig is not going to work they are just going to ignore your calls and give you the run around just call the bbb after you have submitted for your refund and things will go a whole lot smoother

Just an FYI...if you don't continue to pay Care Credit or the credit card charges, it will show up on your credit report as late pays and ruin your credit. It's not Care Credit or your credit card company's fault, and you should be a good consumer and continue to pay until you get your refund. Please don't ruin your credit score over Fig...they've ruined enough already.

BBB complaints...Fig seems to have an unsatisfactory record with the BBB. 52 complaints in just about every category imaginable. See this website BEFORE you decide to do Fig.

BBB doesn't lie. Fig does.

I have just started the fig program on Nov 27th of 07. I have had only one treatment done (which was only half) so of course I havent seen results but I am wondering about the Care Credit problem. You would think that if fig just closed the doors on Dec 7th that they knew then that they were going bankrupt, why in the hell would they let a credit place pay them knowing they were going to close. Now I am stuck having to pay $2,600 back to these credit people and for what, a half of a one time treatment? Thats crazy. I need for fig to pay off Care Credit for me or I will have to have bad credit for no reason at all. If anyone can help me with this please email me at kkuy98@yahoo.com. Thank you very much. Krista

Could someone let me know how to apply for a refund now that the store fronts are closed and just a recording on all the phones? Thank you so much!!

It is helpful to hear I am not the only one that this did not work on. They acted like it was working great on everyone but me. And that I was the only one mentioning how bad I felt for 2 days afterwards. They told me that by not tripleing my injections each time, I was prolonging seeing any results. I was orginally told that at 5'4, 130, I was the "perfect" candidate and should see change after the 2nd treatment. (Sound farmiliar?) I was told to take a month off after my 4th round so my body could catch up & we could see the change. I did not see any results. I ended up taking 2 months off because I dreaded having to go thru the pain again. When I went in last week, on Dec.3, they did not want to measure me or take the photos that I had been scheduled to do. They said that they had "redefined" when results were going to show and it would be more around the 8th to 9th treatment. Thats alot longer than what they had orinally told me in Aug.'07 when I signed up.

For what it's worth I think the office located in Frisco, TX had no idea they were about to shut down. I met two new people they were training to work there. And was told by the nurse to schedule my next appointment before leaving, even if I have to change it later, because they were really filling up and it was hard to get your appointment every two weeks, like they suggest. I am shocked. I paid for 3 areas w/care credit not due until July 2008. (I have not had to pay anything yet.) Any advice about what to do??? If I had signed up in just the last 60 days, like a few of the other posts, I would dispute the chares in writing. You have only 60 days from your first bill to take this action. The terms are on the back of your care credit bill. Thanks for any help. Ms.Sad Lumpy Belly

I think you can dispute the charges. You have 60 days from the day you receive the bill from Care Credit. The terms are on the back of your bill. It tells you what to do if there is a dispute. I think you may be in luck.

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not alone in this mess. I havn't said much about the problems I had with these injections because I thought it was just me and my age,62 when I started, later I was told that they should never had accepted me because I wasn't a "good candidate".

I was talked into signing up for the "Swan" package because I had many areas that would benefit and be more cost effective. That package was $10,000. I started with my arms and the pain and swelling was so intense after just one treatment. I waited 2 days thinking this would go away. I finally called the clinic and they told me that this was very unusual but not to worry because it would get better. I waited several weeks before I went for my next treatment on my arms, with the same results.

Now I was very unsure of this treatment but I had paid so much money I felt I had no choice but to continue. I said no to my arms and thought I would try another area to see if things would be better. I had my love handles on both sides done and several shots in my stomach area in the one visit and had similar problems. I never went back! I still have constant itching on my sides to this day along with the brown skin tone. The lumps in my arms after nearly 5-6 months still remained.

Hi,
I signed up the middle of the summer and am in the same situation as everyone else, would just like my money and have no way to get it. If you could let me know how to get this refund or join a lawsuit to get it or anything I would be sooo grateful. I really wish I wouldnt have even known about this stupid company. It seemed too good to be true.

It's been 6 months since I decided to STOP my treatments with ALD/FIG.I was on my 10th treatment and did it for 11 months and saw no results, only lots of pain and weight gain, 20 lbs to be exact. After seeing the main doctor there and him LYING on my paperwork of what he said to me personally in front of a nurse in the room for my evaluation that I requested due to no results, I had had enough. He told me that they had lied to me about LD being able to help with that loose skin from having a baby, he said only lipo suction and a tummy tuck would get rid of that, he said the damage/unevenness in my lower stomach was due to the negligence of the people administering the medicine due to lack of knowledge in how to administer it correctly when they first opened. And he said the only way to fix it was to undergo even more treatments and he couldnt say what effects it could do to me due to the fact that I had already had 10 treatments already, including the cold lazer treatments and the vela smooth treatments. I had done it all. SO I told him there was no way I was going to go thru more pain and then also not knowing what it may do to me, whether it would harm me or not. So he said he would put his observation in my file for them to review for possible refund. THEN I asked for copies of my file and his notes....I had to FIGHT with them for 3 days before getting that and when I did ( they wouldnt give me any pics), the notes Dr Heibert put i my file said NOTHING of what he said to me in that room. HE LIED! And I called them on it,and threatened with the media and a lawyer and they asked me to come back in and talk to him about it and I said I surely would WITH A TAPERECORDER to record the conversatin this time. Luckily i wrote down everything he had said to me in the previous visit as soon as I walked out because I didnt trust them. And I was glad I did. ANYWAY, they scheduled my meeting and within maybe 2 days I got a called from the girl and she said she spoke with the office manager about it all and she said looked over my pics and the notes and she said she would start my refund procedures and should have something within 90 days ( i think it was) and I had to call her maybe 3 times, but I finally got my refund in full ( including what I paid into it) to care credit and care credit gave me the part I had paid into it since they got that back themselves. I was so happy to have the money back.

But now I see ALL the DAMAGE this lipo dissolove has done to my body, PERMANENTLY to my body. I have unevenness, and indentions all over and lumps, PERMANTANTLY on my lower stomach area, all across. I will never be able to wear a bikini ( as I once could ), or low cut shirts or low rise jeans that may show my stomach area. And not to mention I am now very self conscience about how my body looks and dont like to be seen naked at all. My stomach is permanently scared for life. And have also not been able to get that weight off since I did this either. OH, and I had a few stretch marks BEFORE starting this and now I have a ton of them all over my stomach from all that swelling, etc.

I want to know if there is anything I can do STILL, yes I got my money back, but I want to sue those assholes for what they did to my body and to my self esteem now. I hate the way I look now, and there is nothing I can do about it now........I cant afford a tummy tuck or lipo suction.thats why I did this to begin with........... and now all I do is CRY all the time becuasse I am so depressed by how I look anymore. I dont feel I will ever be comfortable being naked in front of anyone again. I know some of you may think thats crazy.......but thats how I feel. If you saw my stomach, youd see what I mean.

SO, if anyone out there starts a lawsuit against this company for permanant body damage from this lipodissolve..............PLEASE LET ME KNOW~.

BTW, here in KC FOX 4 news did a story ( among the many they did) on the closing of the company and gave out the number to Dr. Heibert, who said he would help any patient that FIG has done harm too. I got that number if anyone is interested. BUT when I called it was a fax, so I faxed a letter and NEVER have heard a response back. That was 2 weeks ago i think. BIG SURPRISE! lol

I'd like to hear from anyone else who's interested in filing suit against these people. Please let me know.

I told her I have tried to get people together but no one is ackowledging interest and actually wanting to do something. I DO. And she told me the ONLY way ANY OF US are going to get anything from this and the help for the damage they caused, is to ALL OF US GET TOGETHER AND FILE SUIT TOGETHER WITH ONE LAWYER..........ONE PERSON ISNT GOING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE OR DO ANYTHING...........BUT IF WE ALL STICK TOGETHER..........WE WILL GET THE JOB DONE! I have been through the same run around as everyone else. They said I would do great with their new lipo dissolve injections. I started the shts in Nov 2006..They tried everything on me they doubled the shots, gave me the cold laser treatments, after seeig no results I started to see a Dr. Brown in the office. she said that before I could get my refund I had to finish all of the treatments. I was in so much pain she ordered me a RX for pain pills to take after the shots.I even had to go to the ER because of the pain, so I am out money there too!!!!! I spoke with the general mgr Daniella Guzman and she said she would start my refund. That was in Oct. Everytime I would call to get a update they would say it is in the process..I finally got the name & number of Curtis in St Louis who did the refunds..He also gave me the run around
I have called and sent letters to everyone I can think of here in Las Vegas
I hope there is someone out there who can help us GET OUR MONEY BACK

I guess I was lucky! I did not have any bad side effects, the injections did not hurt very much either.
My problem is that it did not help, none of my fat dissapeared . The doctor who saw me the last day
after the 3 months that i had to wait says that it does happen and everybody is different . she assured
me that she will sign off my chart and i will get my money back after a wait between 60 to 90 days. i
started to call the office after 6 weeks ant they gave me the run around saying that another doctor has
to sign my chart after he review it.
On 1.17.08 my 90 days are over so today i try to call and got the recording. i gave my work e-mail
because my husband does not know that i spend $3000.00 for nothing.i would be happy to go for a
classaction also i think maybe we should call the CBS channel they have this I-Team Investigation.
Please let me know who to call or get in contact with by e-mail.
I live in Las-Vegas, NEVADA and i know the doctor name who was in charge of the facility here.

To ALL effected by Lipo/Fig...I would too like to file a class action lawsuit against the company. My good friend and I are both willing to file. We have talked to an attorney here in our hometown and he thinks that it will be a challenge but a challenge we are both ready to face. I understand that we have to use 1 lawyer to file the class action lawsuit. If no one has already done so, I will talk to our attorney and find out what steps we need to take to get one started. Look for my updates and I'll hopefully have some information very soon. Be patient and start documenting your information. If someone out there has already begun the process with an attorney, please put that information on this message board so we can all get on board. Thanks!

I began the FIG injections in September 20007. It is now January 2008 and I am STILL suffering. I mentioned to the staff at the FIG clinic how I was feeling, constant headache, diarrea constanly, and the swelling would not go away! I didn't sleep anymore.

They just told me that those were the rare side effects. I questioned if I should continue with the injections the second time, the encouraged me saying I would be just fine! I had GAINED over 5 lbs.

My mood swings were unbareable for my family. I had LARGE lumps under my skin. Still to this day have painful lumps in my hips. I also have one of those lumps attached to my spine. You can actually feel it through my skin.

Recently I went through a bout of throwing up at night.I am a young woman, 38, with four kids. What if I have to have surgery to remove it, which at this point is my only option.

Is there anyone out there with my story?

Has anyone heard about a class action suit yet? I am willing.

After ONE treatment to my inner knee, I received a gaping wound that was 3 cm long by 1.5 cm wide and a couple mm deep. The gaping hole lasted for around 2 months (I have several photos of the wound) and I have a permanent scar on my leg. The doctors recommended me for a refund, and said it's a slow process that takes 6-8 weeks. That was in December 2006. It wasn't until after I wrote a letter to the Better Business Bureau in May that I got my approval letter sent to me in May of 2007. Yet, when I tried to contact someone after May, my refund agents wouldn't return my phone calls, and I never got my money and I'm permanently scarred. Not to mention I'm still discolored over a year later.

I can't get a refund either... Been waiting for over a year. My face is lopsided now. I have lost weight on my own, hoping to even it out some. Now when I call them about my refund, I get a recording, like they may have gone out of business here in Vegas. Let me know if you hear of a Class Action.

Thanks,

Hi. I would love to be involved with a lawsuit as well. Lucky for me, they closed their doors before I could get any more treatments. And for the few that I did get, the pain was horrible...definantly not what they had told me when they pressured me into signing up for the treatments. I feel like I was taken advantage of in so many ways. Recently I went in for my 3rd treatment and fig had closed its doors, giving its clients no way to contact them. I financed them through Care Credit so not I am dealing with them and making payments for treatments that I never received!!! This is one big horrible mess and if anyone knows what can be done about it I would love to be involved.

I belive that fig is going to file bankruptcy, so I have no idea how that would effect everything. This company is a scam!!!

I am also willing to be a part of a class action lawsuit. I started my treatment in July of 2007 and I had a couple of reaction to my love handles and have discoloration on them. We didn't know what triggered the reactions because I did well my first 2 treatments. After I thought it was safe I continued my treatment and was on my 6th treatment when they closed their doors. I really don't see a difference in my body especially in my lower abs. They guarantee results but I will never know now if I would have received the results. I am "5 4" and weight 144lbs but I have love handles that protrude and a muffin stomach from previous tummy tuck and thought this would be a better route. I was told by everyone at fig that I was a great candidate do to my body mass but I can't tell much difference since the treatment. I have filed a dispute with care credit and is waiting for a response. If anyone starts a class action suit please let me know because I am willing to be a part of it if care credit does not want to let me off the hook for those payments.

I am also willing to be a part of a class action lawsuit. I started my treatment in July/August 2007. I even got an email for two areas for one price of one! I had 4 treatments, all on Friday's and could not move about the entire weekend afterwards. I have have discoloration on my lower abs and have gained about 7 pounds! My last appointment was Dec 7, 2007--the day they closed and even scheduled my next appt. for Jan 4. The nurse even wrote me a presciption for a cream to ease the pain from the injections! COUNT ME IN.

Something has to be done it is not fair that this company took advantage of many vulnerable people who thought this was the real deal. Many of us thought this was the way to better ourselves and we trusted this facility. I started my treatment in July on my lower abs, being a single parent I knew I couldn't afford to pay for the treatment in full. That's when the clinic told me to apply for care credit. I gained weight, had hair loss, started having blurred vision, and felt depressed. This company was just a scam that preyed on people like us. It is horrible how they filed for bankruptcy, closed their doors and that's the end of their problems. I know there are many of the fig patients like me that still have lumps from the injections and at times they hurt. It is horrible how the judicial system just lets scam companies like this take advantage of people and wipe their hands clean. I am stuck with the bill and the side effects not to mention the emotional stress this is causing. If anyone knows of a solution to this problem this single mother of three would greatly appreciate it. I live in Las Vegas, NV my email is {edited} and would appreciate any help.

Wow! I thought I was the only one with this problem. As I am reading more I'm learning more about this "fig" crap! I started Fig in November 28, 2007. I actually got my 1st treatment December 4th. The needles were painful but I can tolerate pain pretty well. I was really sore for a whole week but for some reason until this day January 31, 2008, one area of my upper abs is numb, has a funny numbness feeling. I don't think that is normal at all! I paid for the weightloss management also and didn't work. These people scheduled me for an appointment on December 14th and they went bankrupt on the 7th. I was like a fool waiting in the parking lot for them to open there doors until 10am when my appt was scheduled for 9am. Then I called and some recording says they filed bankrupt! That was a rip off! To top it off, December 12th I start getting a weird looking rash on my left arm, I let it go for a few days thinking it would get better, 4days later it got worse so I went to the doctor and the doctor said it looked like poison ivy. A whole week went by and the rash got worse so I went to see another doctor for a second opinion he said it became a skin infection and could have been a chemical reaction to my skin. Never had it dawned on me that it was the fig injections. If someone has anyway information on how I can sue these people please email me @ {edited}

TO BUTTERFLYGRL, FOR HER POSTING OF 1/3/08:

I AM HERE IN ST. LOUIS AND HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH THIS SAME NIGHTMARE. STARTED IN NOVEMBER 08,2006; LAST TREATMENT NOVEMBER 20, 2007. NO RESULTS; ROLLS OF FAT THAT WEREN'T THERE BEFORE, PROBLEMS WITH MY EYES, AND MY CHOLESTEROL SHOT SKY HIGH. I KNEW ALL ALONG SOMETHING WAS NOT RIGHT. I WASN'T HAPPY WITH MY BODY BEFORE BUT I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO HAVE IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS. NOW I LOOK LIKE TWEEDLE DEE DEE . GAINED WEIGHT AND CAN'T SEEM TO GET THAT OFF, EITHER. THIS WHOLE PROCEDURE SEEMS TO HAVE MESSED UP MY ENTIRE SYSTEM. AND GOD, YES, IT WAS PAINFUL. SO IF YOU KNOW OF ANYTHING HAPPENING ANYWHERE THAT WE CAN ALL PARTICIPATE IN, EMAIL ME BACK. IT HAS BEEN A DREADFUL EXPERIENCE.

Well this is my first time using LD and I was very cautious in the begining in using this on myself I told a few friends about this but they were skeptical as well. I read and reasearched to make sure this was going to benefit me. I just got the injections done last Wednesday my first treatment but the only reason that pushed me into doing it is because my doctor of 12 yrs had the same procedure done and has had no problems at all. They tell you what to expect and what to do everythign they told me to do after and before care has worked honestly the only pain I had was the after pain from the injection site areas certain areas bruised but I feel great not a difference at all I dont know if its working cause its hasnt even been a week but I have not had any of the concerns or problems I've read on this site so Im flabergasted but the amount of women who have ran into problems with this new treatment. I continue to drink 64 oz of Fiji Water since it has the silica in it I already see a difference in my skin my stretch marks seem to be getting lighter for one reason or another and I definately dont have any new stretch marks Im feeling pretty good and ready to get my next treatment once time allows me to ... I will definately let you know about my results..

I also endured the painful treatment of lipo-dissolve. I only got through half of my treatments, before the company shut down and the owner ran to an island out of the country! I am out quite a bit of money as well, and am interested in a class action lawsuit. What do you think about the two of us getting this suit started? I'm ready to be given retribution thats for sure. They haven't even stopped my payments yet! I filed dispute papers about a week ago, after receiving my letter from the attorney general. Have you filed a dispute yet? Please contact me if your interested in starting our class action case.

I was also told that if i went through all the treatments and if it still doesn't work that I would get a refund. I did everything that I was told to do in order to get a refund, but when the time that i was suppose to get a refund came, Fig went out of business. I want my money back!!! Do any of you guys have anymore information about this matter or any contact numbers? Please also let me know if someone is putting together a lawsuit, i would love to get in on it!

I would appreciate finding an attorney that would take on my case. I have called numerous attorneys but because I haven't been hit by a semi truck or lost an arm due to the hospitals mistake, NO ONE wants to take on my case and frankly that makes me disappointed in america. I am NOT a person that sues people but after looking in a mirror and feeling the pain I feel from the procedure that was started 14 months ago, I feel that FIG aAND the drug manufacturer should be accountable for their actions. AND when I received the bankruptcy notice in the mail 2 months ago from the St. Louis court house It was a given.

I had 12 treatments in 3 areas plus my chin and frankly I look like a freak now and thats not very appealing to my new husband of 10 months or to my customers on the job site.

If theres an attorney out there that would like to help me or the girls just like me please call Heidi Holt at {edited - to be contacted please join RealSelf for free so you can be emailed}

When I first got the email from FIG that they were going chapter 11, I put in my dispute with Care Credit and fortunately had my charges overturned. Unfortunately, I'm left with a lumpy, discolored and disgusting stomach and I'm really nervous about the long term effects from the poisons they injected me with.

My email address is {edited} so if anyone wants to contact me, please feel free to.

Just received this news about the Fig bankruptcy from reporter Christopher Tritto:

Go Fig. Inc., the cosmetic Lipodissolve provider that filed for bankruptcy protection Jan. 7, owes patients nearly $33 million for treatments they paid for but never received. Customers in the St. Louis area alone prepaid $7.77 million for injections of a fat-destroying chemical compound that the company failed to administer after it abruptly shut down operations Dec. 7.....

The $33 million in patient claims will exacerbate Fig.'s already out-of-balance ratio of assets to liabilities. Earlier court filings showed corporate parent company Go Fig. Inc. and its 12 regional subsidiaries, including Fig. St. Louis LLC, listed approximately $9.84 million in personal property assets and slightly more than $25 million in debts owed to its corporate creditors and more than 500 former employees.

Hello,

I would like to know what I need to do to get my money back. I went to FIG from August 07- November 07 and I have a bill for $3900. I have definitely gain more wait and my stomach is bigger than ever. I am so disppointed in them and the lies that they tell you so that you will spend your hard earned money. They know that this does not work however they continue to promote it. If any files a suit against them I want to be a part of it. Is there a number you can call to find out what you need to do to get your money back. If so please email it to me so that I can speak with someone.

Thanks and it is good to hear that I am not in this alone.

Hello Heidi, I was wondering if you had any results finding a lawyer. I would also a victim of Lipodissolve. My cholestrol levels have been out of control since then. Please email me at deleapayne@hotmail.com. I had treatments at St. Louis MO location. I didn't get any bankruptcy papers. Please let me know any further details you have.

Yes This company should be outlawed.. They do not issue refunds easy at all. I never got mine. They just gave me the run around. I was stupid to even start this. I had severe reactions to the injections also. Severe pain and i looked 9 mo pregnant for days after the injections! I am not a "thin" person although not 300lbs either, but they give false hope to everyone. It has been a year since i did the injections, i only did 3. They doubled up on me to. I still have numbness to my upper abs. I am now trying to lose weight the healthy and only way to do it. I wonder if i will ever lose weight in my stomache where i got the injections. I feel like an idiot to even think there was a "magic pill" for my fat! stupid me!

I purchased 3 areas on 8/29/06(upper arms & lower abs)4,000.00. At the initial consultation I made them aware of my chronic condition "ulcetarive colitis" (Inflammation of the colon)I had been in remission for 5 years-no symtoms, I was told it was fine snd that it would be safe.

The first area I started was my lower abs. On the third treatment I began experiencing health issues,my colitis was acting up! Altough I can't prove it, I believe that these injections caused me to flare-up. Anyone who knows about this can understand my frustration. I stoped treatments for a while because my GI prescribed me steroids for the inflammation. I notified LP that I was currently on steroids and could not do treatments until I was off the medication.

When I started the treatments again I was rotating between my lower abs and my upper arms, about the third or fourth injection I began feeling my UC. symptoms again. Only this time to make a long story short my arms broke out in hives and this unbearable itch that felt like inferno inside my arms and I was back to having a UC.flareup!!.

I notified them of these conditions they decided (Dr. {edited}) to no longer treat me with injections but instead the alternative laser, I never began, LP went bankrupt! Im still currently on steroids for my UC we can't seem to get it under control. I would just like to get my money back.
It was just not worth it!

I had mesotherapy, I gained 10 pounds, now I have dents, indentations , streaks and some skin discoloration in every spot I had a shot of the solution. I exercise 2 hours a day and this is the worst thing I could have ever done to legs and stomach. If there is a lawsuit I want to be included. I look great before I saterted now I wont ever wera my bikini or shorts in public. Started a starvation diet to get rid of the weight, it seems the liquid she injected doesnt want to leave my body. It has been 7 months of misery.

I just went to try on my bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding at the end of May. Despite working out and eating healthier than I ever have in my life, the dress is somewhat tight on me. I've never had much of a problem losing weight, but I was always unhappy with my stomach, so last January I (very naively) began Advanced Lipo Dissolve treatment at the Scottsdale clinic. I went for seven treatments altogether from January until August and have gained at least 15 pounds in the past year or so. I was so baffled as to why I'm not losing weight for this wedding, and suddenly it occurred to me that maybe it had something to do with the Lipo Dissolve procedure. I went online to look up the latest reviews on it, and I was shocked (actually not too shocked) to see how many other people out there had the same results as me. I think the fat just moves to other parts of your body, or your body makes up for the missing fat by producing a lot more of it(I don't know if my theories make any sense from a medical standpoint, but something is going on here!). Anyways, I'm thinking CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT big time!!! Does anyone out there have any suggestions or know where to begin with this process?

Hi,

I have all the issues with Lipodissolve that everyone else has. I took treatment in Overland Park, KS that started in Nov, 2006 and I stopped treatment after I had a severe Kidney infection in Feb, 2007. I filed a refund request in around Sept, 2007 and they said it will take 90 days, but by that time they were bankrupt. Since I was all paid up with care credit by that time, I don't know what to do. If any one knows what to do pl let me onow, as I lost $4000 in this too and have lumpy belly.

Thanks
Nivy

It seems that we are all complaining about this procedure however nobody has answered the question on how to start a Class Action Lawsuit. My treatments were in Merritt Island, Florida, not only I gained 10 pounds, but I also have a lumpy celullite abdomen and thighs. I exercise two hours 6 days a week, and it did not do anything to make me look better. I am out 3,400 and I was promised that the treatments had been successful in all the patients treated. I asked for my money back, but they want to start this other series of shots to get rid of the celullite. NO WAY!!! I dont want anything else injected in my body. We are all crazy to have let ourselves get injected with solutions that we dont even know the name plus who knows what are the long term side effects. Hopefully we all wont get a cancer or disease from this. Lesson to learn, never use anything that had not been FDA approved.

I found the below on line, if we file a lawsuit and we are from different states it has to be under Federal Court. Lets do it!!!

The procedure for filing a class action is to file suit with one or several named plaintiffs on behalf of a proposed class. The proposed class must consist of a group of individuals or business entities that have suffered a common injury or injuries. Typically these cases result from an action on the part of a business or a particular product defect or policy that applied to all proposed class members in a uniform manner. After the complaint is filed, the plaintiff must file a motion to have the class certified. In some cases class certification may require additional discovery in order to determine if the proposed class meets the standard for class certification.

Upon the motion to certify the class, the defendants may object to whether the issues are appropriately handled as a class action, to whether the named plaintiffs are sufficiently representative of the class, and to their relationship with the law firm or firms handling the case. The court will also examine the ability of the firm to prosecute the claim for the plaintiffs, and their resources for dealing with class actions.

Due process requires in most cases that notice describing the class action be sent, published, or broadcast to class members. As part of this notice procedure, there may have to be several notices, first a notice giving class members the opportunity to opt out of the class, i.e. if individuals wish to proceed with their own litigation they are entitled to do so, only to the extent that they give timely notice to the class counsel or the court that they are opting out. Second, if there is a settlement proposal, the court will usually direct the class counsel to send a settlement notice to all the members of the certified class, informing them of the details of the proposed settlement.

In federal civil procedure law, which has generally been accepted by most states (through adoption of state civil procedure rules paralleling the federal rules), the class action must have certain definite characteristics: (1) the class must be so large as to make individual suits impractical, (2) there must be legal or factual claims in common (3) the claims or defenses must be typical of the plaintiffs or defendants, and (4) the representative parties must adequately protect the interests of the class. In many cases, the party seeking certification must also show (5) that common issues between the class and the defendants will predominate the proceedings, as opposed to individual fact-specific conflicts between class members and the defendants and (6) that the class action, instead of individual litigation, is a superior vehicle for resolution of the disputes at hand.

Found this on line, please go and fill it out:

http://lipozap-class-action-lawsuit.com/

Well I am very interested in being inculded with the lawsuit so hopefully I'm not too late. Please contact me with any information you may have. 678-715-8916 is my telephone number. Thank you for your time.

I hate to be the bearer or bad news... BUT when someone files BANKRUPTY you don’t get your money back, well a very slim to none chance in hell! Especially, if they are 33 million in the hole. I to lost $6,000 and have filed my complaint with Bankruptcy Courts in St. Louis. I disputed the other 3,000 with Care Credit and thank goodness I didn't have to pay them! We may never ever see that money again. It’s a lesson to well learned that never pay cash for services that have NOT been rendered. Use a major credit card and if something happen dispute it!

FIG was suppose to be going to Bankruptcy court in June I believe. I'll have to check my letter again. I dont look to get anything back but I've done all I could to try.

Good luck to everyone! ROB SEAMANN got us all and he's living it up. This is not his first time either filing bankruptcy He just changed the name to FIG AKA -Advance Lipo Dissolve

I also have had the Lipo done and now I am 2 sizes bigger, I gained 9lbs. the first set of shots, altogether gaining 13 lbs. They told me that the lumps in my stomach would go away with messageing my stomach and soaking in hot water and that did'nt work. I can still feel the lumps, I can still feel burning in my stomach, I can't hold a tan anymore, one of my boobs is alot bigger than the other, my stomach looks deformed, I can not loose weight anymore, I am always hungry all the time. I was going in to have the shots done once a month then I told them how I was gaining weight and how everything else was happening to me and they said that I needed to come in and get the shots once a week and that no one else has had the problems I am having. They were giving me 40 shots in my stomach everytime I went in. The last two times I went in they had to do a lazser treatment because I was so sore and they wanted me to keep coming back for the shots. The Lipo Dissolve has mentally ruined my life. I have thoughts of cutting my skin off myself cause of the weight I have gained. I was in a size 8 when I went into start getting the lipo shots now I am a size 11/12. I have never in my life been this size and it is mentally messing with me. PLEASE HELP!!

WOW!! I thought I was the only one going through this! I was told I would have a flat stomach after 6 sets of shots and now I look like I'm pregnant! I was in a size 8 before I started the shots and now I'm in a size 11/12. I had a baby and wanted to loose the little tummy that i had and ended up looking pregnant again. The sad thing is, is that I'm not even pregnant. I started out going and getting the shot once a month then they told me to come once every two weeks so I did. I was getting 40 shot in my stomach and my sides everytime I went in. The last two times I went in, they did a lazer cooling treatment on me cause I could stand the soreness anymore. I still have lumps in my stomach, I can't hold a tan anymore, I have tried other ways to loosing weight and I can't, my stomach looks deformed, and one of my boobs is alot bigger than the other. I told them about this several times and they said that no one have ever had these problems and that that was just some of the small side effects and that I needed to message and soak in warm water and everything would go back to normal. BUT IT DIDN'T AND STILL HASN'T!! This has menally effected me. I find myself wanting to cut the fat away myself. I want my body back! I stopped paying on my care credit account because the shots didn't work. Now my credit is screwed up. I will never be able to wear the clothes that I used to wear. I am always depressed now. I have tried gettign my money back and I have gotten nothing. Just getting my money back isn't good enough. I WANT MY MONEY AND MY BODY BACK!! These people should have to pay for everything they have done to everyone. PLEASE HELP!

Stephanie..I so understand what are you going through, the same exactly thing happenned to me despite that i exercise two hours a day hardcore. I started a size 4 and ended a 8, gained 10 pounds. 5 weeks ago after being so depressed I started a very strict diet 800-1200 calories a day, no carbs. And I lost the 10 pounds however I still have the knots all over my stomach and thighs. It is grossed and very noticeable. My treatments stopped on February so I dont know if my body will ever get back to the way it looked before.

Unbelievableada I went to that website
and there was nothing there...Has it been moved?

http://lipozap-class-action-lawsuit.com/

Also if your interested in filing a claim against FIG you have until 05/23/08. Not saying your going to get anything back BUT hey it's better than doing nothing. The FIG I went to was here in Atlanta and they closed there doors Dec 7. It looks like to me some people are still getting these injections from a private sources and still having problems. THATS WHY FIG went BANKRUPT.. to many problems and complaints...

http://www.moeb.uscourts.gov/
stroll down and you will see Go FIG Bankrupty Case Information

unbelievableada...I stopped getting the shots in August 2007 and I still have the lumps. You can't really see them but they are still there. I don't think they will ever go away! I never had a problem loosing weight and the only reason I starting getting the shots was because they told me that I would get a flat stomach again after having a baby, now I CAN'T GET RID OF THE DAMN WEIGHT!! I was a camera hog before and now you have to beg me to take a pic. I look in the mirror and get grossed out. I self-estem has gone from sky high to nothing!

Hi, Elise.

Did you hear back from anyone involved? I'd like to be included also. I financed my treatments through GE Money. Later, I transferred the balance to another card. I didn't even receive half the treatments before the company closed its doors.

I spoke with GE Money today and was told that had I left the money on their card, they would cancel the charges. However, since I moved it - now they can't help me.

Let me know if you get any info.

Thanks so much,
Courtney

Hi Courtney,

I've get correspondence from the courts as to what phase there in and whats happening BUT no money. I'm sure I wont get anything back by time they pay everyone ELSE. They were in quite a bit of debt to maketing advertising etc.. plus there payroll. But just know that I at least added my name to the list. I think the deadline has passed to file a compliant. Some where in the post I put a website as to where to go online and file the complaint.

As for GE Money there right if you would have left it there they could have helped you. They did remove it from my charges I JUST wish I could have charged it all. I have learned a lesson to NOT ever ever pay cash for service that HAVE NOT been renender and if they ask to RUN like hell fast!

Good Luck... hope I answered your questions.

Maureen,

I too went to that website that was none exsisting. I did file claim with the courts in St Louis.... so try
http://www.moeb.uscourts.gov/
and stroll down to GO FIG BANKRUPTCY INFORMATIOn
and see whats goign on..

Fact: You gain weight from eating too much bad food, and not exercising regularly. You may need to see a nutritionist or body coach. With constant control on your foods and exersize... truley following a healthy lifestyle, (and not just saying it) you will lose weight. And if it does not work, maybe see a doctor. I lost inches and weight when combining Lipo dissolve, healthy eating, and exersize. As for a lawsuit, good luck, they took the money and ran to another country.

If this is a consolation after 2 months of strict no carb diet and lifting weights and doing cardio for an hour 5-6 days a week I have lost the weight I had gained (10 pounds). As far as the areas I was injected looking better, there is no difference on the contrary I believe they look worst than before. This does not work, the people that are saying it work is because they follow a diet and exercise, we all wasted our money. The only proven way to look better is....exercise and diet!!!!

I met with my doctor and was given a topical treatment Voltaren Gel and it appears to be helping with the inflammation and swelling. It is worth your talking to your doctor about.

Does anyone know how we can all get a refund?
