Worth It
Spent: $3,700 in Houston, Tx

After researching I have decided to try out Lipo-Ex. I have visited 2 well know plastic surgeons in the Houston area to get their opinion of my flabby stomach. Im 44, 5'3" and weigh 120. The first surgeon recommended liposuction for $5300 and the second surgeon recommended liposuction and a mini tummy tuck for $6800. I would prefer to use a non invasive procedure with no down time.

I had the first treatment today (8 treatments are recommended) and I see a difference so Im feeling optimistic. The procedure was painfree, they rub your tummy with a substance that looks and feels curiously like crisco. They take an instrument that warms up and gets hotter and hotter and rub it all over your belly for about 40 minutes. The nozzle gets very warm at times but it does not hurt. After that she rubbed another instrument all over my belly that got warmer and warmer for about 15 minutes or so. Then she vigourously massaged my stomach area for another 10-15 minutes. My stomach area was definitely pinkish after the procedure but it went away after about an hour.

I was told to not take any medications such as tylenol or motrin as these are hard on the liver and you need to be able to excrete the fat from the procedure. (alcohol is definitely a no-no) I was also told that you need to do some sort of aerobic exercise (30 minutes) within 2 hours of the procedure to enhance the excretion of the fat.

The plan is to have 2 treatments twice a week for 2 weeks and then once a week for 4 weeks. The final result will be 2 weeks after my last treatment.

I did take pics and took measurements and will post later.

Does anyone know of a Dr. that performs Lipo-EX in Atlanta Ga ?

Hi Pque, The Atlanta doctor directory is a fair place to start. Even if docs do not specifically advertise Lipo-Ex calling around should find you someone who does it. Good luck, --Sharon

Hi Tex female, Can you give an update on your results from your lipo ex treatments? Were you pleased? Thanks!

I would like to hear an update to your Lipo Ex experience at Realis Spa. I am considering going there and wonder about your final results. Thanks!

I would like to find out more about Lipo Ex. I have had 5 treatments of Accent XL under my chin and cannot see a difference. I'm wondering if Lipo Ex is any better.

I think Lipo-Ex is a rip off! I spent $3000 and followed all recommendations and saw no improvement. They were trying to push a 500 cal/day diet with injections of the pregnancy hormone to do with the procedure for better results. Of course if you eat only 500 cal/day you will lose weight. I was not going to inject that into my body.

Don't waste your money on Lipo-Ex. I wasted $3000. Not worth it. Really saw no results. Maybe 1 inch loss. For $3000 - a scam!

Hi Texas Female, I am also in Houston and would love to hear more about how the rest of your treatments went. I have had four treatments so far at two different places. I got results after the first and second treatments but not sure I saw any difference after the third and fourth. I don't know if I keep going if it will get any better, or if it has gotten as good as it is going to get so I may as well stop spending money. Does anyone else have any experience with this to share? I would really love to hear about it. Thanks!!

Hi-I don't work in Houston or have any affiliation with any practices in Houston but I do own Lipo Ex and know the protocol inside and out. The protocol is for 2 sets of 4 treatments. Your only half way there :) The majority of my clients have lost 3 inches in circumference in one measurement after 8 treatments. And many have lost 10 lbs of weight. Keep it up! I've used it myself and have lost 2 inches on three ab measurements, 4 inches on my hips and 3 inches circumference on each thigh.

Thanks for the comment. What is you experience with cellulite reduction? Have you seen permanent results? My weight always fluctuates a few pounds here and there depending on what's going on. Is the cellulite always going to come back if I gain three pounds?
