when i went for the initial consult i was shown the video they show on t.v. then they placed me infrontof a mirror pulled back my skin and told me this is how i would look after the procedure. if i had turned out the way they said i would have gladly put up with the pain, discomfort and the expense. i had the procedure done in octoberof 2007, it is now the end of june 2008 and i look pretty much the way i looked when i went in for the procedure in october. but now i have heavy scarring behind my ears that is constantly uncomfortable. my right earlobe is stiched down tighter than my left earlobe. it is now uncomfortable to wear earrings and i can no longer sleep comfortably on my side due to the scarring where i was cut.
i arrived at LSL AT 12:30 P.M. AND DID NOT WALK OUT THE DOOR UNTIL 7:00 P.M. THE DOCTOR STARTED BY DRAWING MARKS ON MY FACE AND THE ASSISTAANT PUT JELL ON MY HAIR TO KEEP IT OFF MY FACE. II ASKED TO USE THE BATHROOM BEFORE GETTING STARTED. I WAS DIRECTED TO A PUBLIC RESTROOM IN THE LOBBY OF THE BUILDING WHERE THE LSL OFFICE WAS LOCATED IN WESTBURY L.I. they told me there was no bathroom facilities in the LSL office suite itself. I had to walk out into the lobby of a busy office building with my hair gooped up annd purple lines on my face, needless to say it was not a good experience.
thesurgery took over 5 hoours. the pain was excruitiating for the first two days, then lessened over the next two weeks.eight months later i still have nerve damage around my ears, as the swelling has slowly dissipated the sagging of my neck and jowls has returned, but now myface and neck are lopsided as it appears that my surgeon pulled one side tighter than the other(the right side). i also have lumps under my neck(feels like my glands are always swollen). when i went back to the office for the follow up visits a new dr. was there. my surgeon had been transferred to the orlando, florida office. the new dr. didn't even take 15 minutes with me for my follow up visits.he said the same thing to me both return trips,'iin 6 months your face will look totally different" the staff was always seemed rushed and never took the time to fully answer questions i had. i was always interrupted by the needs of other patients being treated in the office.
i would not reccommend this procedure to anyone. save your money and go to a reputable plastic surgeonor if your heart is set on the LSLi would fully investigate the dr. doing your procedure . it may be the skill of the surgeon doing the procedure that determines the outcome of your LSL>

Thanks. I was seriously thinking about the LSL. Your experience has been extremely helpful. It seems to be the skill of the surgeon that is most important. Are they all Board Certified?

After reading all of these reviews about the lifestyle lift, I would never have them touch me or anyone else I know. I would just go to a board certified surgeon to do the procedure however big or small. 24 yrs ago I have boob surgery ( mine were too big and saggy). I lucked out and found a great surgeon, who happened to be the best In charlotte nc at the time. It had pain but once healed I looked like a million dollars. In the event if I ever do a facelift I will highly ck out the surgeon very carefully!
