“The life-style lift recovery is longer than they tell you”
Lifestyle lift: NOT worth it
Pain: Severe
I had my LifeStyle Lift done On July 12, 2006. I had the bags removed from under my eyes as well as the lift. It would be better if they told you that most people will need some time to recover. There was no way I could go out in public for about 2 weeks. My eyes were black and swollen. My whole face was swollen. I still have a lot of discomfort especially on the back of my ears. My right side was more of a problem than the left. It is still swollen.
The scars on the back of the ears are pretty awful. They tell you afterwards that it might take up to a year to completely heal. This should be told up front. A tech took out the stitches and did have bleeding after this was done. My left ear had drainage for about two weeks. I did have to have my right ear aspirated 3 times because of fluid build up. Am not convinced that the office help really have medical training. In fact they gave me the opposite information over the phone. I had called about the severe swelling, it was fluid, but they told me that as long as it was hard, not to worry. They should have told me to come in as hardness is a sign of fluid build-up.
The after care needs some attention. As I said, I still am having trouble sleeping or even having the phone on my ear. The least amount of pressure causes much discomfort. This may all be pretty standard, but their ads lead you to believe that you can resume normal activities in a short period of time. I think it would be much better if they told you the truth. Am I happy that I had it done; can't say for sure. Still have swelling under my eyes and most of the swelling has gone down on my face (not behind the ears). Friends tell me that I do look better than I did.
If I had known that the recovery time would be this long, sure wouldn't have had it done in the summer. Would have waited until January when there are fewer activities. (I live in Indiana). Am a golfer and have only been able to go out a couple of times. Honesty is always the best policy. I had the procedure done in Schaumburg, IL. Unfortunately, after the procedure, I found that the Dr. who performed the procedure is on probation in Pennsylvania.

If any one has had the procedure done in Albuquerque and would like to give me some information as to your healing process and how the procedure went. Is it worth keeping my consultation appointment?

I also have had the lifestyle lift and I am verrrry disapointed in the results the Lipo under my chin is very lumpy and un even and I still have my Jowls. I have demanded my money back and they have offered me back only 1/2 of the total amount of $4.500.00 and I do not think I will except it If they do not give me more I will turn it over to an attorney. I have not decided yet. How can they get away with the advertising they do on TV,?? Thanks

I just wanted to let readers know that the plastic surgeon I used (in Stuart, Florida) for eyelids (upper and lower) and breast enhancement did a wonderful job--and guaranteed his results. I was thrilled with the puffiness of the eyes (gone for good!) but thought the crows-feet should have looked less substantial. At the follow up exam, he asked if I was happy with the results and, because he wants 100% satisfaction, he offered (without me asking or demanding) to 'smooth' them out for free (chemical peel). A good surgeon will guarantee his or her work. I don't like the customer service record of the Lifestyle Life company. Regarding pain/bruising: I experienced VERY little pain after the procedure and NONE during it because I was knocked out. I cannot imagine going through this awake, especially around the eyes (they have to cut and stitch VERY close to your eyes--you cannot move at all). Forget valium--you don't want to see or hear this. I didn't have the jowl problem but ANY surgery will leave bruising. Mine lasted two to four weeks (blue then yellow) and long-term healing was about six months. There was also loss of elasticity in the skin around my eyes but that came back after a year. I do not work for Dr. Cooper, nor am I affiliated with him in anyway. However, as a satisfied customer, I highly recommend his work. Many people I know, including my mom, have had work done by Dr. Robert Cooper (Stuart, Florida) and the results are outstanding (men and women). He has rooms on premises for patients to stay overnight for recovery and staff on 24/7. All in, the cost was VERY reasonable (around $6500 for breast and eyes--upper and lower)--he gives discounts for prior customers and multiple procedures done at the same time. The aftercare was good although the nurses who removed the stitches could have been more gentle--they tried to take out the eyes and the breast stitches simultaneously. Regardless, the results are very good and most people think I look at least 10 years younger than I really am. Do not have this done without going under anesthesia with a reputable doctor--you will regret it. It's your face and your life, spend the extra money and do it right. The results should last a lifetime.

OMG I FEEL SO BAD FOR THE GIRLS THAT HAD THE LIFT AND DID NOT HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE. I LOVE MINE, I KEPT LOOKING IN THE MIRROR FOR WEEKS THINKING...OMG I LOOK SO GOOD...ALOT OF US START LOOKING TIRED AND SAGGING..SERIOUSLY, IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. I RESEARCHED THE DR IN DALLAS THAT DID MINE. I CANNOT THANK HIM ENOUGH. ALA NATURAL' MAYBE GOOD FOR SOME OF YOU, BUT WHEN YOU ARE 57, SINGLE AND YOU CAN LOOK 12-15 YEARS YOUNGER..WHY WOULDN'T YOU. IT'S RELATIVELY INEXPENSIVE. I HAD TO GO GET A NEW DRIVER LICENSE, NO ONE THOUGHT IT WAS ME. DO YOUR RESEARCH, GET A GOOD DR AND DO IT..JUST DO IT....I DID AND I THANK GOD EVEYDAY THAT I DID....IF YOU LIKED HOW YOU LOOKED 15 YEARS AGO...GO FOR IT...

I went for my consultation in charleston south carolina and just waiting on myself to make the decision. I worked hard all my life like i'm sure you all have and this money i saved was for this and at age 57 i want to do the right thing for myself and there won't be another savings for this because if it's not what it's cracked up to be my husband will say no not again. My question is has anyone gone to lifstyle lifts in Charleston South Carolins? I feel no pain no gain if that's what it takes as long as you get your money's worth. It feels good to vent to all of you and i'd love your help. A southern girl in s.c.. You knoe we do love the sun.

I just went Sat 06/07/08 in Denver CO for my free consult. Lots of people in the office waiting. I feel they gave me a lot of info, about the procedure, before and after. The consutant took medical back ground and said the Dr would have the final say because there was no montoring of vital signs. LSL is a franzice (a McDonalds) if the Dr is good in this location I feel I will be fine different locations are like any other franzice it depends on the staff. However I think the price is all the same. They had a special at my location, normally a $6000 - 7000 for only $4000 for the Jowls and anther $1000 to add the neck. I'm sure they will have the same special 6 mos. from now. I'm thingking about it and I'm going to do a lot more investigation before I take the final step including checking with a regular plastic sturgen.
