I had my lower face and neck done by {edited - doctor information appears at top of review}. He and the assistance, {edited}, were great as far as making me feel comfortable, and I really didn't feel a thing during the surgery. It definitely is longer than 1 hour (ask my husband who had to wait for me). Also, when I returned to work 4 days later, it was very noticeable that I had had something done, due to the swelling. I would take at least 2 weeks off to recover.

Now it hasn't been 2 months and I have noticed that my neck is getting loose again with skin, since the swelling has gone down. The sides of my face are still numb, though I was told to expect this for at least 3 months.

I don't know right now if I would do this again. My neck was the reason I did this in the first place (my grandson asked me what the hanging skin was). I am not wealthy, and had to finance this, so is it worth the money??? Only time will tell. But I am not encouraged by what I have now read through this site. It appears that I wasted my hard earned money, though I couldn't afford the $10,000 plus on a face lift done by a plastic surgeon. I wish there was some program out there that would help real people look better and in turn would make you feel better about yourself when you look into the mirrow. You can call me vain, but I hate looking winkled and old.

I have been considering having this done and I am shocked that the negatives outnumber the satisfied with this procedure.

It now has been 2 1/2 months since my procedure and my neck is almost back to where it was before the surgery. I have read other reviews done in other states, and I am amazed at the difference at each office. I read one person saying that her doctor offered anti-aging products to follow thru with, and that she had a 6 month follow-up appointment. I was offered no products nor was I asked to return, except to have a picture taken after 30 days, no appointment needed. I live 2 1/2 hours away and work, so it was not convenient to do that. Besides, I have not heard from anyone in the Dallas office regarding my procedure since my procedure was done August 7th. I guess that should tell me something. Get them in and collect that money seems to be all they care about. I am really disappointed, to say the least!

i live in dallas and am considering LSL..but you're the 5TH!! person i've heard from that has been to that ex-ENT doctor over by the galleria. NO ONE i've talked with has been happy with him or his money hungry staff! i may go with the plastic surgeon leighinhouston on here had do her LSL. she seems pleased and looks great in her photos. i guess going to a REAL plastic surgeon as opposed to a doc that went to a weekend seminar to learn the LSL..makes the difference. thanks for you comment. helps confirm that LBJ doc isn't the way to go!

I'm scheduled for surgery w/ Dr Vu Ho. I've heard good things about him, but I also heard Dr Orten was great and Donna H is not happy with her results. I have heard the people who did not follow the Dr's orders have the bad results. I don't smoke and plan to keep ice packs on continously and keep my head up for 3 -5 days. I'm hoping I'll be one of the lucky ones with good results. I'll keep you guys informed.

I am scheduled to have LTL with Dr Ho next week, but am reading things I don't like to hear because of the huge expense for this "small" procedure. Did you ever like your results? I notice you posted in May of 2009. THanks Max

I wish you good luck with your procedure, but like you, I had read a lot of comments and saw the informercials and thought that I would be like those women in those commercials. I was wrong. I have never smoked, I kept the ice packs on as I was suppose too (when you pay almost $5,000 out, you do whatever it takes to get a good result). I even bought their head wrap and wore it for several months, the wrap that holds your chin up and the neck tight, and it STILL did not help. After reading about all the people who have had serious complications and lasting scars and numbness, I feel as if I was one of the lucky ones. I do have scars and bumps behind my ears, and my ear lobes are now deformed, but they could look worse. So, please think about what you are doing and if you truly want these problems. My advice is to see a real plastic surgeon, a board certified one, that you have checked out and have that doctor assist you in getting the look you are striving for. Believe me, I wish I had people let me know this!
