I had my lower face treated with the Palomar Lux 2940 fractional laser. This is the heavy duty ablative laser not the 1540. It wasn't too painful as my doctor completely numbed my face with injections, but my face was like chopped liver for a week - very burnt with crusting and weeping. I wanted the treatment to reduce quite deep upper lip lines and and fine wrinkles around the mouth. There was very little improvement considering the down-time required. I think a course of 3 treatments is probably best, but I wouldn't do it again.

My doctor was lovely, I just didn't find the treatment to be as effective as I had hoped.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. Sorry to hear you didn't see very good results from it. What a bummer with that much cost & downtime :-/
