I was 40 years of age. I was near sighted. I needed glasses for distance, such as, driving my car at night or going to the movies, or looking across the floor where I work to see who was calling me. I had an annoying habit of putting my glasses on and taking them off all the time just to see.

One of those draw backs is it can aggrevate presbyopia. In other words you end up needing glass to see up close. Only I found out that ends up being worse then wearing glasses just for distance.

You end up wearing glasses all the time. You live in the up close world. You need the close up vision to do dishes or to put on eye make up or pull a loose eye lash out of your eye. I still had to wear glasses just a different kind and now all the time. Eventually the gains I made in distance gave way to bifocals. I now wear bifocals all the time. What a big waste of money.
