I had been wearing glasses for more than 20 years, the degree was not very high but due to astimagtism, I need to wear glasses daily, from the time I wake up in the morning, till I go to bed at night.
Till Dec 08, I just noticed that the headache problem that I always has might due to glasses that I used. Finally, I decided to have Lasik performed on both of my eyes in Jan 09.
The Lasik process was really fast, it took around 15 minutes to complete. I rested for 15 minutes in the Lasik centre with the eyes closed and relaxed, then, go home with sun glasses on. It is very important to have the eyes closed and rest for at least the first 4 hours after surgery. The best way is to have a good sleep.
I rested for 4 hours, woke up for dinner, then, put the eye shield on for the whole night sleep. There was some glare effect after the surgery, getting better and better when time passed. My astimagtism had been corrected, and for the first time, I could see the light as a whole without any glaring ray.
I experienced a little bit dry eyes, need to put on lubricant drops, this will go away in few months time. I feel good and worthwhile to have Lasik done. However, it is very important to choose a experience surgeon and reputable lasik centre.
