Positive Results, but Be Prepared to Have Hair Re-grow

Worth It
Spent: $2,500 in Branford, CT

I had hair removed in several areas on my body - thanks to those European genes... It's now been more than 3 years, so I think I can write an objective opinion. I have light complexion, and dark brown (almost black) coarse hair - the perfect type for a laser treatment. It took 5-6 treatments to get rid of most visible hair back then. I didn't even try going for all the fuzz - I knew that'd be a waste of time. Now 3 years later, some of the hairs are growing back. They are not as coarse, and definitely not as many as I used to have (I can skip a day or so shaving), but still visible. I've been thinking of going for a "touch-up" but just not prepared to spend all the money again.

Note that for approx. $2500 I got several areas treated.

Also, the treatments themselves are rather painful. To get more benefit from laser, it should be adjusted for the highest setting you can tolerate. I started with 35, and gradually upped to 55 (the highest). When I did so, I made sure to take pain meds before the appointment.
