I have a condition called Poly-cystic Ovaries which causes abnormal hair growth on my face and body. I had laser hair removal done on my face with 0 results. They originally told me on my consultation that it is not 100% and it is more like 80/20%. I was fine with that, I would have been happy with 50/50. I purchased a 5 treatment package for $750. Since I was on my 5th treatment and still had not seen any results they told me that they were expecting a new laser and didn't want to waste my last paid appointment since it was not working. Now they new about my condition BEFORE I started these procedures. So they told me iI needed to see my doctor to see about getting on hormones and to come back. I saw my doctor and she said there is no reason I should not be seeing some results and I did not need horomone therapy. A few months went by and I had not heard from them so I dropped in to see what was going on with the new laser. Well low and behold they got the new laser in April and here it is July and I have not heard anything about it and I was still owed 1 more treatment. So I received my last treatment 5 months after my 4th treatment. She said there has been new studies on hair growth blah blah blah. I went in today for my 6th treatment and was charged $75 for it after I was told on my 5th treatment that the next 3 would be free. Hmmm I wish I knew what changed their minds. I do not understand how it can work on a man and not me? Once again they are blaming my condition. If that is the case and they know it is not going to work, why would this spa/doctor's office continue to take my money and be so unethical? I for one will NOT go back nor to I reccommend it!!

I am sorry your treatments have not worked. I hope this is helpful. A co-worker of mine also has PCOS and she was told she would need to be on birth control pills and she also took spironolactone to help decrease her testosterone levels. By doing that, the laser treatments would be more effective. You might want to check with your doctor to see if this helps. Good Luck!

Do you know what kind of laser there were and now are using? I'd blame it on the laser, hair growth is hair growth, I don't see how your condition would make the roots indestructable? I've seen amazing results (underarms) after the first treatment. I'd try a different place, and tell them about your experience, and ask if you can buy one treatment, and if you see results, if you could roll that price into a package?
