Worth It
Spent: $600 in Chicagoland area (suburbs)

I am overweight in the midsection so it was hard to reach to shave my bikini area and caused painful bumps, so I did HTGT on bikini (not super far in) and underarms.

Three years later, the bikini area is still hair-free, so I'm very satisfied and pleased I did it.  It hurts (zap! zap!) and you can smell the smoke as the hairs singe (ew) but it's still worth it and the discomfort does not last beyond the actual procedure itself.

The underarms are another story.  I have less hair than I did before but it never totally went away.  So I still shave there every couple of days.  One interesting thing though -- my underarm hair turned white!  So I can get away without shaving if I want to for a few days.  I mostly shave because of the feel not because you can see the hair.

So I am kind of "eh" about this.  Good on one section of the body, not so much on the other.  Shop around (prices vary enormously) and find a good technician.  I had more than one technician (this company has very high turnover apparently) and some were good and very professional, and some were so zoned out I wondered if they were stoned.
