I had this procedure done early this morning to correct the ice pick acne scars that were visually apparent on my cheeks and temples. at first i was dissatisfied with the results because i did not notice a difference but this evening i definitely can see an improvement. the pock marks are gone and the skin on my cheeks are smooth and uniform, it no longed looks like the lunar surface. I just pray to God and the Virgin Mary that it lasts for up to six months like they informed me it would. if so i will be getting this done every six months for the rest of my life!!!!

Well, it's been a week since the procedure and to tell you the truth i am not as thrilled about the outcome as i was a week ago, i guess i didn't pray hard enough! I woke up this morning to shave and it looks like the ice pick scars are coming back, I'm pretty dissappinted...especially since i paid 750 dollars on nothing. hmmm i guess my sister has an opportunity
to get back at me after i teases her for spending 400 dollars on a carny game...

its ok..

Its been about two months now..even tho the pockmarks are still noticeable they aren't AS noticeable before i had the injections...so it turned out ok for me...it'd acceptable. i think i had too high of expectations to begin with. i want my skin to look like plastic...

Total waste of money

Looking back now, I wish I never did this. The results only lasted a month tops and then the scars were back, like nothing ever happened. It was a total waste but at least I know now not to use fillers, they aren't permanent enough for me.
Houston Dermatologist

Shes not that great really, pretty hyped up I think! Not to sound rude or anything but her bedside manner seriously needs improvement, she doesn't look you in the eye AT ALL, talks way too much so its impossible to get a word in or a question asked and she rushes you through the 100 dollar non-refundable consultation...Hah....yea. Lesson learned. DONT go to a plastic surgeon/dermatologist who charges for a consultation. I've noticed that a real doctor doesn't charge for a consult...

I could totally identify with your June 21st comment. I've always fought acne, so I've never had that gorgeous, smooth glowing skin...I completely understand wanting your skint to look plastic, though it probably sounds odd to people who have good skin.

Use AHA's and sunscreen. My skin has greatly improved from AHA's & an occasional TCA peel. Fillers sre wonderful, but expensive & do not last long. There's a new filler now that supposedly lasts 2 years! .

You need Radiesse for that deep of an indentation. I have had this done and it's a thicker, deeper filler. You will need this type of filler to get the results you want. Boletero is not going to last or fill in as deep. Just my advice from a 'Filler" addict......

You are sooo right about Belotero...doesn't last and too thin to do anything!

That is awesome to hear that it worked well!! I'll be hoping it lasts the full 6 months for you too - this stuff can be so dang expensive!!

Have you ever tried any other kind of filler for the scars, or was this your first experience with fillers overall?

This was my first and last time using derma fillers....the results are already starting to fade just a week after. my temples still look pock marked and sunken in and my cheeks as well. so upset!! I think i just need to stick with this silicone basef scar gel i used to buy...it gave me good results.

Ugh, what a bummer! I can definitely understand why you would feel disappointed. If it all went away within a week I wonder if the results you were seeing was from the swelling? If so, perhaps more filler could give you the same correction if built up over time, but of course that would mean more $, which I know can be tough to justify when there is no guarantee it will give you the results. :-/
