2 weeks post-op

I've now started to workout again. I started with rowing yesterday and did strength work today. I feel like I'm having a couple of "fat" weeks right now and it seems to be directly related to alcohol. I was told I could have alcohol once I'm out of prescription meds (antibiotics) and pain meds. Last Sunday I had some red wine and slowly but surely on Monday I started to bloat up like I've never seen before, lasting into Wednesday when I gave up and took something to relieve the water retention but it took a couple of days. I was PMSing and just started on a new IUD and wasn't too sure what my PMS symptoms would be with it so I figured maybe that is what it was. I'd never seen the water retention come on so fast and heavy. Finally feeling back to normal, I went out Saturday night with friends and had some drinks -- nothing excessive. Not only did I wake up being extra gassy but I again started to become bloated the second I stood up from bed. I went and worked out hoping it with help but things just got worse. I ended up having to take something and I'm still having to take something. Drinking 3L of water seems to do absolutely nothing (I've been staying hydrated these last 2 weeks). I'm going to say that my body is just not ready to deal with alcohol as I've never had such adverse effects from it. Has anyone experienced this?
Other than the bloating issue,my breasts feel fine but my nipples are very sensitive (burning). The corners of my breasts (outside of the incisions) are sore but otherwise feel normal. Still very happy with the outcome. It looks like they are snapping back rather fast.

1 week post-op

Well, i'm incredibly pleased with my results which will only get better! I had my 1 week post-op appointment this last Monday. The stitches for the drains (anchors) were taken out and so were the steri-strips under the incision. Wow! I was so incredibly surprised at the incisions! I was expected a lot of redness but the only thing you can really see is the slit in the skin and no redness. I now have to put this tape on my incision -- the same tape I put on for my original BA and revision which left my scars invisible. The nurse said there is nothing I can put on my breasts (cream) to help with elasticity. She said the only thing that will "speed" things up as far as elasticity is good support. I'm clear to wear wired bras when I "need" to for the next couple of weeks but she suggested good sports bras when I can. I can sleep on my stomach or really any way that feels comfortable. I've been clear to work out as of next Monday and she just told me to listen to my body. Having been injured in the past, I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on how to re-introduce my body to working out. She did say to stay low impact for the next week and just work on getting a sweat as opposed to going all out (still at late risk for hematoma) and then to listen to my body as far as what it can do.

The only pain I have now really feels like bruising and it's located at the bottom of the breast in the fold which Is obviously where the other side of the incision is and the nurse said where most of the work was done.

I went and purchased 3 new wire bras.. I was happy that the style of bra I liked pre BA and after BA were still fit and were the best bra for me. I'm only a cup smaller but I think that's because the bottom of my breast is very similar and I've lost the volume in the upper pole.

I have been wearing the lululemon flow-y bras and energy bras and those work for every day use for me right now.

Update

I thought I got my appetite back but it was only Thursday night that I realized I've had no appetite for any kind of meat of any sort except for a meatloaf I made the day before surgery and felt I had to eat. I usually eat all non-processed foods and now I just didn't care and ate whatever I could find (cup of soup, cookies, fruits). I've had to nap most days but yesterday I was able to walk for over an hour and couldn't really fall asleep for my nap so I just rested. I had my first 'real meal' last night and this morning, I woke up feeling 100% normal. I was starving at waking (normal) and I didn't need a nap all day. As I write this, it's 7:40 pm and I'm thinking it may be an early night.

A couple of things.. constipation...usually comes in hand in hand with the pain medication given via IV during/post surgery (recovery room). It took me 5 days really to feel like I got back to a normal GI track. I opted not to take any additional pain meds after my surgery except for once (next morning). I drank a lot of liquids and forced myself to walk to help with the constipation (a 20 minute walk would send me to the washroom and then yesterday, I needed an hour walk).

I haven't seen many posts where women talk about this but...sex. I've been dating a man who has been incredibly supportive pre and post surgery and incredibly understanding (and he happen to like the new smaller breasts). It's only been a few days and to my surprise, I found myself enjoying sex even more mainly because I was a lot more comfortable. With my implants, I became incredibly self conscious of how my breasts looked and felt when I happened to flex my pec muscles -- and now I wasn't self conscious at all!
