I have always had a small chest area. It never...

I have always had a small chest area. It never bothered me that I was close to flat-chested; however, I HATED how big my thighs and butt always looked! Every time I saw a picture of myself in a bikini or caught myself in the mirror or a window, my eyes were drawn to how "large" I was. I did cardio, I watched what I ate, I worked out more, and being in the fitness industry and following all the rules never mad a difference. My fiancé and I discussed me getting breast implants. I felt that if I got them, I would feel a little more balanced.

We made an appointment with Dr. Burgess and the woman who processed me was so nice. She made me feel comfortable and she said a lot of women have the same insecurity as I did. She then assured me that I look great and really didn't NEED implants -- which made me feel even better knowing that they weren't trying to talk me into it. I didn't make the appointment that day. I waited about 6 months and went back a couple of times to make sure I was choosing the right size. I didn't want to go too big and I didn't want my surgery to be obvious to people. Dr. Burgess assured me that she wouldn't let me go too big and that she would make sure they looked right on my frame.

The day of my surgery I was nervous. I followed all the instructions and had plans in place for care and administration of post-op drugs. I got to the hospital early and was admitted fairly quickly. Once in the pre-op room my nerves were heightened. The nurse brought me something for my anxiety and then Dr. Burgess came by to greet me before the surgery. She is so professional and she made me feel extremely calm (or the medicine was kicking in). I don't even remember much else and the next thing I do remember is waking up in post-op care. I was disoriented but the nurse was kind and helpful. I stayed for a few hours and the ride home was probably the worst part of the whole recovery.

Friday I went in for my post-op check up, thankfully the tubes were removed as they were AWFUL and I was off pain killers by Sunday! I took muscle relaxers a few times over the next few weeks since the muscles kept flexing and firing on their own.

6 months later, I am so pleased with my decision!!! Not only have they turned out looking better then I ever expected, I don't constantly hate my body!!! I look in the mirror and I wonder "who is that??" and then I realize "IT'S ME!!!".

If you are like me and have always had issues with your body, Dr. Burgess is great and will make you feel confident -- even before the surgery!! She is professional, her practice is clean, and it feels very special. Every time I went in there I felt like they valued me and wanted to make me feel welcome. I have gone back for skincare treatments and would definitely use Dr. Burgess again if I ever wanted to have a future surgery done.
