I finally went for the co2 fractional laser...

I finally went for the co2 fractional laser treatment after trying everything else (dermaroller, dermabrasion, face masks, proactiv solution, etc etc). I have been skeptical before but after getting 3 sessions i am getting faith.

A year ago i had a breakout of cystic acne and it left scars on my cheeks and on the sides of my forehead. I had warts, freckles, scars and active acne. It was so disgusting that i started avoiding the mirror. I would brush my teeth in the dark and would even take showers in the dark. No mirrors for me. I started my research on various site on co2. It was pretty much clear that this is the real deal. I also read some bad reviews about it which kinda scared me. Apparently, that happens only in rare cases and people who dont know what they are doing. Overall i think that its almost impossible to not see better results through fractional laser.

Its best to go for the best skin clinic even if their prices are a bit higher. They give you all kinds of advices on how to take care of your skin and what products to use. The staff was very nice and they actually showed that they are wanting to help. Thats what brought my confidence in them (afterall, you are giving your life in their hands). They told me that they will do a full body warts removal, freckles removal, scar revision and full face fractional laser in the above price. Its important that the warts are removed from full body otherwise they start spreading again. And i had over 400 tiny warts on my back and face. (all gone now :) )

The results of fractional laser is relative from person to person. For some people full results are achieved after 3 sessions but for some people full results could take more sessions. I have decided to go for atleast 6 sessions. Apparently ice pick scars get removed after 5-6 sessions. The lady doing my sessions is very confident that she has removed tons of scars like that before and that is nothing. After 3 sessions i can see atleast 50% reduction in my scars and all my pigmentation left from previous acne is gone. Small lesions and all kinds of bad stuff is all gone now. And the ones which are not gone yet have faded to a great extent. Also my forehead lines are fading as well. Apparently i will not need botox since the results of laser is going to remain for many years to come.

The intensity of the laser is increased in every session. So i was quite disheartened when i saw no results in the first session. But from the second session difference started showing. I am uploading my original pic and the pic after 3rd session. I will be uploading my pics till 6th session. Its important that sunscreen is applied after your crust comes off every 3 hours till your next session..which means for a whole month you treat sunscreen as your best friend. I tend to get slight pigmentation if i leave it. Other than sunscreen they tell you take antibiotics for 3 days after the session and apply fusidin cream on your face . It not only helps heal your burnt face but also helps the crust to come off without you trying to scratch on it. The crust usually comes off completely after 6-7 days. I was also told to use opexa gel on my scars as it is suppose to heal the scars better (I am willing to buy any product as long as it solves my problem).

I am in constant touch with the clinic over the phone and ask them for skin advices and they are always giving full information. I am still getting some acne as i have active acne. So i have been adviced to take isotritinoin tablets. I have an extremely oily skin and it is suppose to reduce the oil in my body. So i will be on it for the next 4 months or so.

So thats that for now. I sometimes wonder why dont they develop a vaccine for this. They need to eradicate acne, its probably the most commonly affected irritating health issue in human beings.
