I can barely type this as I am almost in tears. Tears of joy! I've been wanting a tt for as long as I can remember. A few stats first, I'm 29 years old (30 in April), mother of two boys (7 and 4), 5'1" and 135lbs (all booty jeezuz). The reason I need this tt is not because of my children, but because for 3 years starting at the age of 18 I was 210lbs. I lost over 100lbs, down to my lowest weight 108. I had my second son, and now have been stable at 130-135. (I hope to be down to 125 before surgery, may be to big of a goal we will see).

Well, everything is set to go. I have the date set and paid for. Now comes the waiting part. Which is the worst I think. Personally, one of the hardest things for me is going to be that I have to wait to buy some new clothes (yay taxes!) until after my procedure because I don't know how everything will fit. Am I going to be the same size? Can anyone help with this?

Well, hello all! It's been a few days since I've updated this. I guess the major thing is that I have my pre-op date set! Yay! It's set for March 16th at 10:45 in the morning. It seems a little more real now. I've decided to lose a couple pounds before my date, or at least I hope. We will see what happens. Sorry I have to keep this short, I have class. :)

Hello everyone! Well, I decided to work a little...

Hello everyone! Well, I decided to work a little harder to get into shape prior to my surgery (46 days remaining, but who's counting lol), so I am going to try the Insanity DVD system..has anyone tried it? I heard it was really tough, well, bring it on!

The days seem to be going slower and slower as it gets closer to my Pre-Op appointment. Grr..Good news is that I finally got Insanity in the mail today and will start it tomorrow..wish me luck ladies, I will keep you posted on my personal review of it and if it actually works.

Well ladies, I've just finished the first step in...

Well ladies, I've just finished the first step in the Insanity workout program and I must say wow. The first day is just the Fitness Test and I must say that darn near killed me. I don't know how I feel about tomorrow's workout. Don't know what it is yet but I guess I'll see. I can't wait until it gets easier. On another note, my wonderful, supporting S/O bought a recliner to help with my healing when I get my surgery done. I just can't wait to get it done and over with. I have 41 days to go (yes, I do have a countdown on my phone lol).

Well, hello ladies! I have currently 36 days to go...

Well, hello ladies! I have currently 36 days to go with 18 days until my pre-op. I'm so excited. I've been trying to lose a few pounds, currently 134, but it's not going so well. I think I will just give up, I'm destined to have my curves, my biggest thing is my thighs and hips and butt (you can't really tell because of my belly :( I'm not complaining about my curves, I've learned to love them. I will still try to drop those few last pounds but I'm not going to stress about..more to come later :)

Well, it is now Sunday and 6 days closer to my Pre-Op appointment. I'm trying to think of some questions to ask but because of this website I don't really have any. I'm not nervous, I'm just excited and anxious to get it over with. I can't wait to wear a belt and not have that pooch in the front!

Well ladies, I go for my Pre-Op appointment...

Well ladies, I go for my Pre-Op appointment tomorrow at 10:15 am in San Diego, meaning I have to leave my house super early in the morning because it's a little far away. I'm so excited..these days have seem to flown by! (Sometimes slow I swear lol). I don't really have any questions to ask my PS because of this site. I'm just anxious to wear a belt and not have a pooch!

Yesterday I had my Post-Op, other then the horribly humiliating before pictures that were taken (think, your PS like 5 feet in front of you taking pictures of your worst areas), it went great. It's all paid-in-full, now just waiting for the date. Here is some information for some of you ladies who are new to this site:

Here is the list of medications that I was prescribed:

Percocet (Pain Medication)-which I was told to begin by taking 2 pills after I have been home for 2-3 days, and then 1-2 pills, on schedule, every 4-6 hours for at least the first 2-3 days.

Celebrex-(Pain Medication along with Swelling and Inflammation) Take this in the morning the day after my procedure, only once a day.

Robaxin-(Muscle Relaxer) Begin this in the evening 5-6 hours after my procedure. For the first dose take 3 pills as a "loading dose", after that 1 pill every 8 hours on schedule.

Duricef (Antibiotic)-Begin this in the evening, 5-6 hours after procedure. Then every 12 hours.

Colace (Stool Softener)-Begin this in the morning the day BEFORE your procedure. Then every two hours until you have 2 regular bowel movements.

Zofran (Nausea)-Begin this ONLY if you experience nausea.

Arnica (Non-prescription) helps with bruising.

I was also given a list of things to do and not to do before the surgery. I just can't wait to get it over with already! I've already purchased the binder and the Arnica (waiting for both to come in the mail). Counting down ladies!

Oh my god, oh my god, I only have 8 more days to...

Oh my god, oh my god, I only have 8 more days to go until I'm on the flat side. Sometimes it seems to go by so fast, then there are days where it is going so slow I swear it's going backwards. I have all of my prescriptions filled, binder is here, and Arnica is as well. Now I'm just waiting. I'm so nervous. Anyone else having theirs done on the 4th?

Omg, this is it. I officially have 3 more days...

Omg, this is it. I officially have 3 more days until I'm on the flat side! I leave the day after tomorrow for San Diego, where I'm going to get it done. I'm a little nervous now..it's finally setting in, it's finally getting done. I swear I would never have this done, and now that the time is almost here, I'm scared. I don't know what I should bring with me, other than the obvious, meds, binder, again..meds. I have a 2.5 hour dive home afterwards (no, I'm not the one driving), hopefully I'm asleep the whole ride.

Well just got a call from the surgical center. My surgery is at 7 am. I have to be there at 6 am. It's finally real now. I'm a little nervous and scared. I've lived with my belly forever and I'm going through all these emotions. It's nuts!

Well ladies, it's all over and done with. It took...

Well ladies, it's all over and done with. It took 4 hours. I wasn't really feeling anything because they made sure they had the meds in my system before out 3 hr drive home. I'm feeling a little discomfort and my vision is still messed up which is caused by the meds and/or anesthesia. I haven't eaten all day and still don't feel like eating. I haven't seen it without the binder on but as soon as I do you ladies will be the first to see the pics. My wonderful fiancé has helped me the whole way.

I have the best PS ever! I called the office with my concerns (it's 6pm here) and left a message. Not even 5 minutes later he called me on his personal cell and explained to me what's going on and addressed all my questions and concerns. If you live in the San Diego area and are looking for a PS I highly suggest DR. Daniel J. Brown. Not only is he nice his staff are too!

Postop day 1. Last night was pretty rough. I keep sleeping an hour the wake up then sleep an hour then wake up. I'm just blessed to have the support and help from my S/O. I will be taking pics tomorrow when I can shower. I'm glad for the muscle relaxers. My PS said everything turned out great and that I have a nice tight and trim tummy. I can't wait to see it.

Still postop day one. I sometimes feel good and other times feel bad. I get a burning sensation and my lower back hurts from the lipo of flanks I'm assuming. I can't stand upright. Does anyone know when this will start? I can barely sleep. The muscle relaxers help, I get full after one half orange. I'm draining halfway decent. Supposed to be able to take a shower tomorrow but I can't stand upright so I don't know if I want to risk it. Are these normal symptoms?

PO day 2. Doing much better. I finally seen it and it looked great! Just got out if the shower. Needed some help and had to sit on a stool but my hair is washed so that's good. I'm going to have to alter my dress for the ball after all.

Well I'm feeling a little better now so I will go...

Well I'm feeling a little better now so I will go into detail a little better. My Rx was on Thursday at 7 am. I had to arrive at 6 am. The surgical center was very beautiful. They took me back and went over some basic questions. Then they started the IV. After sitting there for a few minutes, Dr Brown came in and started marking me. I swear this was so embarrassing. (He's a rather good looking PS) I had to hold my belly up while he studied my bad parts. Then he asked if I had any questions and I said no. Then 5-10 minutes later a woman came in and said that she was going to give me something to make me feel like I've had a few drinks. That was the last thing I remember, next thing I know I'm done. My whole experience with the surgery was good. Even now, recovering I've had some questions and all I had to do was either call or text DR Brown. He always answers. I'm not feeling to bad now. I'm going to try to relax and hope I can stand upright soon so I can take more pics. Happy Healing ladies !

Well hello ladies, it is now POD 4 and everything...

Well hello ladies, it is now POD 4 and everything seems to be doing better. I can ALMOST stand up right, which is a BIG relief on my back. My headaches are gone, I switched up most of my Oxycodeine pills with regular Tylenol per PS instructions and it seemed to take them away.

My big concern is that when looking in the mirror today, my left side is EXTREMELY bigger than my right. I look lopsided! I asked my PS about this and he said that it could be due to swelling but if not than he can take care of it in his office (which he usually doesn't have too) when I go and see him Friday for my post op appointment (its a little late, I know but we live 3 hours away from the PS) I don't know how I feel about this, I'm a little emotional and feel like crying. I didn't go through all this pain to look deformed! Please ladies can you help? Has this ever happened with one of you?

Other than the above mentioned problem, everything seems okay. The line is REALLY low, which is good because I have a short torso. I can't wait until I see my belly button! Anyways, I posted new pics so that you can see how its progressing.

Today is POD 6 and only have a few new developments. I don't have that horrible pain in my left side anymore (thank god!) and probably the biggest thing was that I had a few regular bms (i know, kind of gross). I had to use a glycerin suppository. I feel so much better now. Yes, it's coming out like soup but at least it's coming out. Some of the swelling also went down on my left but it still looks lopsided.

Well, I'm updating once again, it is now POD 12. I...

Well, I'm updating once again, it is now POD 12. I don't have anymore pain, just some discomfort that seems to keep me from sleeping a whole night through :(. My shape is coming in which is a plus, I still have my left drain in because my left side was so much more swollen than my right was. I hope to be getting my drain out on Friday. I am almost able to stand upright, which is a great thing! I must admit ladies when I got my right drain taken out it was more painful then I thought it was going to be. I must say though, the pain is worth it. I see my shape coming in and my belly is gone (besides the swelling that is still there) All in all, I think that it is coming along great.
Dr. Daniel J. Brown

I found Dr. Brown, off of this website, after reading a post that someone wrote describing his work and manner. I did some research and haven't found one negative comment about his work.

Your Looking Great!!! I'm 2 weeks post op as well , and it seems when I wake up I feel pain or swollen where in incisions are The Hydrocodon seems to help , I only take one or in some cases 2 times a day because , I don't want to be a drug addict or anything lol... Wondering have you experienced anything like this and are you still taking pain meds.

I feel really tight when I wake up but I think that is just from swelling. I don't take any meds anymore although I took NyQuil last night so that I could sleep though the night. I seem to wake up every couple of hours to switch positions because of the discomfort. I'm not really hurting but just sore and stiff. I can't wait to stand up straight.

Thank you. I had to buy mine and I still use it. As far as the drains go I still have them in. Hopefully they will come out Friday. I had some bleeding out of the first one. That stopped. The left one (the bleeding one) is filling with blood it seems like while the other is fluid.
